Guess what? You don't fight aids by giving people cancer.
Plenty of DRM free games are very successful, even when they're PC exclusive and made by smaller/independant studios (like pillars of eternity, for example) so there is no excuse. It hurts us, it doesn't stop piracy, they waste a ton of money on it. Provide a good game and make it easy to get and people will buy it, even if you don't use DRM to "force" them. The people who won't buy it ...
No, you are right. If if someone says Oblivion and Skyrim aren't simplified compared to Morrowind, they're just wrong. If someone says that limited fast travel/no compass markers doesn't force you to get to know the world better, they're wrong. If someone says that doesn't add an element of risk because (while it is avoidable) you can get stuck miles from nowhere in hostile territory while low on supplies, they're wrong. Just like if someone says that the simplificati...
And single handedly rebranded gamers from stereotypical nerds to overweight, raging, hyper masculine, mysogynistic, vulgar, dudebros fueled entirely by doritos and mountain dew. Call me crazy, but I can live without that type of "growth."
But It's true!! They WANT their games to be perfect...they're just not willing to delay the release of anything or pay enough people to fix it post launch.
They want it like I want a 6pack. Like, it would be nice but I'm not gonna do anything about it.
You say that, but what happens if Windows stops supporting it (like they did with safe disk recently) or Denuvo goes under and the game doesn't have a server to check with after you upgrade your computer? Or you lose access to the internet after upgrading your computer?
I'll tell you what happens, your legally purchased game becomes unplayable. How do we know? That's what happened to thousands of games with safedisk not terribly long ago. It doesn't matter i...
People will just pirate it, or import it. It isn't hard. Banning media never stops anyone who really wants it.
Still blaming twilight. And true blood. And Underworld (even though I like underworld.) Basically everything in modern or semi modern pop culture that involves vampires is either really stupid or really cheesy (or both,) so nobody pays attention.
@SSJDomon You must be one incompetent jackwagon to dismiss an position and insult it's holder without actually explaining why it's invalid.
RPG Game. Role Playing Game Game...
Are you going to talk about how to remember your Personal Identification Number Number for the Automated Teller Machine Machine too?
Not a complicated concept. If you're going to do this job, even as a hobby, the least you could do is manage is some basic grammar.
Except it ACVTIVELY hurts consumers. Want the actual full game? Pay before you have any idea wether it's good/playable or not, or spend between 5 and 20 extra dollars to get the whole game. Does the game turn out to suck? To damn bad, you already paid for it.
It is a device companies are using to prey on people and bludgeon/trick them out of their money with the fear of having to spend even more money to get the entire product and leaving them basically no recourse if t...
2 of them were an unplayable mess at launch, one is *still* an unplayable mess on PC, and one just isn't very good.
You mean except like, persona 3 which takes place literally inside a Japanese highschool and so a basic understanding of japanese culture and how these characters relate to eachother in that culture is paramount to understand the social situations that the player is routinely placed in? So no honorifics even though, if you know what they mean, it adds *tons* of information about the characters and their relationships to eachother in a way that simply cannot be done just using english?
1) insulting people for their preferences is stupid
2) It's very difficult for some translations to capture the original context because other languages (not just japanese) deal in and have words for concepts the english simply does not, and things like keeping honorifics and using the words from foreign languages in the English translation helps them keep that context. (Games in other languages, say french, do the same thing with other languages too)

Those reasons are stupid. It's art style and a drugged out dystopian theme, and nothing else. It has virtually nothing in common with bioshock.
It is absolutely nothing like bioshock and never has been. Why doesn't anyone put any effort into watching any of the like 9 videos the developers have made that tell you *exactly* what it is?
It has more in common with don't starve than Bioshock.
Every game should allow mods, period. (not necessarily support mods, but they shouldn't be intentionally built to make modding as hard as possible, which does happen. A lot, actually.)
Not just for visuals. If someone is colorblind and the devs don't include propler color blind modes (like they should) mods can fix that. If screen shake makes me sick and disabling that isn't an option, mods can fix that. Mods can also get games running on modern systems that don...
@R00bot
It does. It's not a majority of the time, but it definitely does. Maybe like, read my other comments where I address those points?
Yeah, so did Cloud, especially in Crisis Core. Just sayin. That a character needs to be rescued isn't an indictment.
If a character *exsists* to be rescued one might have a legitimate complaint, but it just makes them a bad character wether they're male or female.
See, I don't think that's true either, I think that's what you see/remember because it fits your conclusion. Most of the girls I talk to generally don't disclose that they're girls even when they're being refered to with "he" specifically because they're worried about being harassed for being a woman. That should not be a fear, just like men shouldn't fear being harassed by "feminists" just for being a guy.
What counts as ...
You "feel" wrong. X is the best, but I started at 7 and had played 7/8/9/4 (in that order) before I played 10. There are explinations other than nostalgia for people not agreeing with you.
