which is the best - a masterpiece by Picasso or one by Monet? Its nothing more than a personal preference of TWO acknowledged masterpieces at the end of the day.
Best thing is that each PS3 game sets the bar a little higher with virtually each new release. Heavy Rain, Last Guardian, Killzone3. And it can only get better.
A dash of 3D anyone?
Oops - how the h€ll did I miss GT5 off that list?
was a pretty decent last-gen FPS despite all the criticism it took over the ridiculous 'Halo beater' tag it was saddled with. And no one on the planet could argue that Killzone 2 isnt a giant amongst ALL FPS games - any generation.
Best bit though? This console generation will see Guerrilla Games produce an even greater masterpiece when Killzone 3 lands
QUALITY over quantity when it comes to games. Best thing for PS3 owners : from 2009 onwards you get BOTH.
rather, its because he was CAUGHT cheating. Read any number of surveys and they will all confirm that anything around 50% of males and females admit to cheating
Bought this as a trade-in and didnt know if I would enjoy it. More a FPS gamer and not a big fan of RPGs with all the constant jumping in and out of menus.
This, however, jumps easily into my top three of 2009 that I've played on my PS3. Killzone 2, Uncharted2 and Borderlands have really made my gaming year. Borderlands will surely be a highly successful franchise . Nice one Gearbox.
100% agree with your comments - and your 100% agree!
"i cant blame the UK for being full of imbeciles"
Who exactly are you going to blame then? Just curious.
to agree with you. GG has been pretty quiet (almost silent) in respect of further input into Killzone 2 compared to the flurry of DLC following its release so they're obviously busy with something - hopefully Kz3.
February release, post Christmas, pre-PS3 console price reduction, world recession and poor advertising by Sony certainly didnt help Killzone 2 hit the heights it so deserved to reach - including its chances for GOTY.
Kz3 really should release in late 2010 t...
deja vu here? Something about number of patches and overpowered shotgun ? Perhaps someone else can recall Killzone 2 being hammered with the same criticism.
if Sony did release another model of the PSP.At the end of the day its another choice/option for prospective buyers. So long as Sony support ALL their products then thats all that matters.
What I dont understand (anyone feel free to correct me on this) is why Sony dont push a PS3 / PSP BUNDLE considering their connectivity. Surely BOTH consoles would see increased sales from this.
a little perspective here. First off, like anything these days - service or product - its price will likely go up - not down. Secondly, compared to buying 'the other console' what is the likelihood of your PS3 breaking and incurring lost gametime and expense?
Sony already gives you everything for free, that 'the other guy' would have to pay for ie free online play, demo's, built - in Blu Ray etc. This generation of console was always going to be pushed to its limits right from th...
Kz2 wasnt helped by an earlier-in -the-year-release when PS3 price was still relatively high. People have short memories and MW2 numbers would always make the outcome a forgone conclusion .
Tell you something though , Killzone 3 WILL be THE PS3 shooter - no question.I reckon GG have taken a lot on board from what they experienced with Kz2 . That's the pathfinder. Killzone 3 will be the full blown invasion.
I would like to thank ALL of you N4G posters for the hours of fun and thought-provoking entertainment that I regularly find on this site. Im also willing to bet most of you would be best 'gaming buddies' if only one console existed and ONLY opinions of a game would be open to DEBATE.
On topic: its good news to every gamer that there is more than one successful gaming console - much like any government NEEDS a strong opposition party to keep things moving in a 'relatively' open an...
Sony see this avenue of gaming as nothing more than a diversification of the PS3 capabilities and NOT as a major issue as seems to be MS' intention with Natal.
Imo Sony would be much better employed - and rewarded - in putting its greatest efforts into bringing 3D gaming to the PS3.
prefer to play any game based on its quality over its quantity - so long as its SP was of a reasonable length - which pretty much sums up my thoughts on Heavenly Sword.
For a game to have great quality and good length - as well as a great MP (looking at you, Kz2 and Uncharted 2) is a gaming grail as far as I'm concerned.
entertaining. She should have kicked out the loser boyfriend and gone to bed with the PS3. Satisfaction guaranteed because it only does EVERYTHING.
just whatever the hell you want and may the gaming gods smile down upon you (' cept Kratos cos he dont do smiling!)
Seriously, the thing that ALL console and PC gamers have in common is the freedom of choice to make a substantial financial investment in a pastime we all enjoy. Good gaming and peace to one and all.
that, as an increasing number of gamers are owners of BOTH PS3 and 360 consoles, m any seem to state that multiplats are played on the PS3 (presumably because of the 360s reliability issues) therefore resulting in less playing time for the 360.
Also, with the lack of games out in 2009 on the 360, again, wouldnt that point to reduced 360 usage ?
For the record, Im a PS3 owner (2nd console after my 60 Gb YLOD ' out of warranty) so Im not bashing on the 360. But it does seem...

of AAA titles for 2010, to be concerned about Halo:Reach (which I sincerely hope you 360 gamers enjoy btw).
As for me, Im all fired up for a late 2010 release of Killzone3 . Bring it on !!
