Only 'console war' that interests me is the one ON the PS3; the friendly war between Sony 1st party developers who I can imagine punching the air, hi - fiving and shouting "Ha, beat that ND/GG/Santa Monica !!" everytime one of them releases another jewel for Sony ' gaming treasure chest.
PS3 gaming = WIN
I really enjoyed the first Gears which I played on my sons 360 - more so than Halo (not knocking it !)
Now the PS3 has something like parity with the 360, in terms of ownership, I expect Kz3 to find a much greater audience than Killzone 2 , which at the time of launch, was still shackled by a smaller PS3 community, relatively high console price and pre-slim launch. Oh and Sony badly under-advertised the game - here in the UK at least.
End of the day, do sales numbers ...
my biggest disappointment would have to be Haze. Greatly overhyped and sadly a huge letdown from such a notable developer.
is still one of my favourite PS3 titles and was worthy of a sequel. Hopefully, one day, they can return to the Sony fold and back to producing PS3 exclusives.
Given what a great game HS is and considering they had no notable peer developers to share with (as today) they can certainly be proud of what they achieved.
Meantime, I wish them well with Enslaved.
and Im sure there is a monster of a game looming over the horizon. Keyword from Guerrilla seems to be IMMERSION.
if an Uncharted game came to PSP - and I would be more than happy to see it happen.
Chains of Olympus was one of the better games that came to the console and I would bet my last dollar / pound that anything ND released with the Uncharted name, would have nothing short of the eye-opening quality they brought to the PS3.
Day 1 purchase for me and my little pocket-friend.

Annoying but entertaining - all rolled into one body!
but so too, are Guerrilla Games. No doubt, ND' 'help' would come mainly in the shape of tech input / ideas rather than a direct involvement with the Killzone game engine.
Guerrilla will pull out all the stops for the game's opening sequence . When the lander was going down at the start of Killzone 2 , all I could think was " Oh fu(k..!"

Guerrilla are really pushing the boundaries of gaming. Like most, my HDTV isn't ready to be replaced for another couple of years but Killzone 3 will sure be an incentive to get there.
Best part for me is the fact they took on board the need to up their game in the dialogue / voice acting / character building aspect ( thanks ND) which was definitely one of Kz2's weaker components.
Also co-op (SP split-screen?)If so, I just hope it's the vertical split-screen variety...

have games on the PSP. Killzone Liberation, LBP, GoW Chains of Olympus, Gran Turismo, Resistance Retribution.......maybe its time for some Uncharted to make its way to the console.
I could imagine a lot of Uncharted / Naughty Dog fans buying into a new PSP system - it would certainly be welcome on my 3000.
I think I estimated about 6-700hours playing it all told - but never on line(pre internet for me)
More often I would play the game's Battlefield component so it was really something to see GG produce some of those maps for Killzone 2.
It feels like the franchise has found its feet and created its own unique place within the FPS genre.

had its whole RDR shelf- allocation emptied except for one copy this morning. The xbox 360 shelf was untouched with only one copy gone. Just sayin'.
BTW love the submarine story, nice.
give me a bright, new shiny version of Killzone 1 - with trophy support. Despite the criticism of the game, it had a great story and gameplay. One of my all-time favourite PS2 games.
Would make for a great Killzone Trilogy on the PS3.
