Guess you never noticed even torrent sites have tons of people seeding CONSOLE games, sometimes more than PC themself.
I buy my games because i support good developers, plus i don't want to be locked out of multiplayer.
First game was enough for me, it was pretty broken too.. and lazy coding, you could jump on stuff and slide right off.
Nowhere near as good as L4D2 as i hoped, and i couldn't play for more than a short while before it made me feel ill due to the camera swaying and crap i'm guessing.
I'm curious about what the frame rate might be on PS4, surely they would lock it to 60 this time? Maybe it'd get minor dips, but nothing bad.
Well obviously the game is going to look a lot better now, it's using the same engine just upped the details like from low->high settings on PC.
Plus it will run a ton better now on PS4. Also glad it's finally coming to PC.
Yeah it looks pretty impressive to me as well and i'm a PC gamer, if they can keep it at a fairly solid 60fps i'd say that's great.
Might have to pick up a PS4 sometime.
if you were a gamer at all you'd realise that 60fps makes a world of difference.
For a few games like Uncharted it may be worth it, for this.. nope.
Should run great on even mid range cards if it's optimized well enough this time.
Will be building a new Haswell-e rig this year more than likely, might get a 780 or 2 in SLi or wait for the next cards to come out to run the new engines butter smooth. Gotta have that 60/120fps @ 1080p
PC 64+ Player online please, hope it's like SA-MP so we can have huge Cops n Robbers type servers.
Great year for gaming this year, lots of FPS's, Killing Floor 2, Unreal Engine 4 games coming out, GTA IV, potential Source engine 2 news/release?.
Fun year indeed.
Well i have to admit, it does look really good. 60fps average and dipping into the low 40's would be my guess, which would still be impressive for the PS4.
May have to get a PS4 sometime for this when they are cheaper.
The first game has nothing on L4D2, i've played tons of games and the first Dead Island was probably the only one to make me feel ill after playing it due to all the camera swaying and crap.
Dead Island had so many broken elements to it, not interested in this one either.. I'll stick to Valve & Tripwire for my fun Zombie games thanks.
Eh, no PC version? Come on R* ffs.. multiplayer could be so much bigger.
Never been fussed on these games, usually don't run that great on good hardware either.
Rather wait for Doom 4, games on Source 2, Killing Floor 2 and Unreal Engine 4 games.
First i'd heard of it, sad news.. i was looking forward to that new Bottom series that was planned as well.
That's a young age to go..my father said a while back that he always seemed a bit different after that quad bike accident he had, or whatever happened.
If they do that they should give the Wii U at least another couple of years to give it more games.
Downgrades won't stop, Unreal 4 engine games will already be locked to 30fps on PS4.
Proof: you need a 780 / 780 Ti to get the lowest minimums of 40-45fps in the UE4 Elemental tech demo and averages of over 60fps, and is already cut down graphically on PS4 compared to PC.
Don't count on it, doesn't this game use the unreal 4 engine? with the elemental demo on PC you need a 780 Ti to get worst minimums of 40-45fps @ 1080p.
all ue4 games will be locked @ 30fps on console, the framerate would be too erratic if they locked it to average of 60 on consoles.
The engine does look beautiful though, maybe i'll get a 780 Ti or wait for next gen cards to run ue4 games butter smooth.
I feel the same way about Smash Bros, game feels too basic and gets boring quickly imo, don't get the hype on that one.. But i played the hell out of MK64 back in the day.
Doom 4 would be interesting, i'm actually looking forward to it.. hoping it won't be a disappointment.
Really needs to be more like the originals with open levels, give me a reason to upgrade my whole PC! Great new games can't be far away now, what with Unreal Engine 4 and Source 2 long been in development.
Good, still using a HD 5870 but there's some games coming that i am wanting to play, namely UE4 games, the new Wolfenstein, Doom and whatever else comes next year on new engines.
I may get an 880 if it's not stupidly priced like most Nv cards, should run those games really well.
