If you are used to 60fps you can easily notice a difference between it and 30fps, average gamers may not.. but i do for sure, and many others do also.
One artcle has said 250,000 copies = guaranteed Exoddus remake, another has said 500,000 copies. Pretty sure it's 250,000 though.
Also why is lanning getting his panties in a bunch about calling it a remake? Even on the oddworld website it says "Rebuilt from the ground up" and unless i'm mistaken then rebuilt = remade.
Also the good thing is Exoddus should be remade a lot quicker than Oddysee since they already have the foundations there for...
How about a GOOD game of Regular show? A Simpsons Hit & Run style game would suit it perfectly.
Not long now, i assume once this one is done then we should see Exoddus a lot sooner as well.. since they will use the same engine they already have the foundations for the next game, all they would do is add in the extra graphics, enemies & game play differences.
You don't want to encourage Nv to increase prices more, it would be bad enough if we didn't have AMD's competition to keep prices in check..
I'd rather buy the new upcoming Asus 1440p, 120hz with G-sync screen and buy 2 cheaper 780's and have them in Sli. Much nicer than a 4k screen with 60hz.
4k is just not playable, runs like ass and 1440p is more than good enough anyways. Like 1080p is still good today.
This is a card for developers like some others have said, much like if you look up those Fire GL cards or whatever they're called.
Basically like the Titan, not really meant for gamers.. if you buy it for games it's a huge waste.
Not to mention you'd get similar performance by just buying 2 780's and putting them in Sli or 2 r9 290's in Xfire. Much cheaper too.
This is only bad news if something is integrated in the Rift to make sure you are always signed into FB for updates, messages etc..
That would be VERY annoying. Not to mention there would probably be ad's streaming either right in your face or in a little window to annoy you.
Agreed, i've only had one SSD.. it failed like 2 years after use. Bought a 128gb one in 2009 and developed some bad blocks in 2011 so i stopped using it. Pretty sure it was faulty from the beginning though because i had weird issues with video clips in Sony Vegas which disappeared after moving back to normal HDD.
Either going to get a Samsung Evo 500gb or a Pro 256gb, need to be careful about which one to buy.. still not sure on the endurance of the TLC memory of the Evo ...
Unless they're planning to turn Facebook into a VR like 3D world with avatars, or something like MiiVerse.. then it is a complete waste of time.
And no brains considering you could join 2 GPU's together for much cheaper and get almost the same fps.
Well Nvidia never failed to disappoint once again with a hugely overpriced GPU.
I hope they sell little of these to show how much of a ripoff they are, r9 290 Xfire or 780 in Sli is a much more sane value and almost the same performance as this.
They used a GTX 680 to show off the UE4 engine demo's before.
Probably any card above that should be able to run games fine @ fast fps.
Sounds like the title of a Rare game
It looks good but i don't thik it's going to have the same amount of replayability that L4D2 offers, in fact i'm more looking forward to L4D3 which can't be far away now andshould offer even more random gameplay and variety.
Agreed, i still don't understand what insipired them to go with such a dark serious tone after Vice City and San Andreas, even Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories were fun games with quite a lot of humor.
Little things like being able to stand on top of moving cars were fun as well, now you just slide off when the car starts moving.
I don't mind some realism but i think too much of it ruins the fun.
As long as it really benefits games performance, don't need Nv releasing more overpriced "Titan" like cards.
And you can count, on me waiting for you in the parking lot!
I remember getting an Action Replay for my PS1 then for N64, but in 1998 i got dial up and had every cheat i wanted online.. looking back from dial up to 128k cable a bit later meant much faster browsing and smooth good pings for real time online play.
Good thing we have much faster internet today, 100mbps seems unreal from the dialup days.
Halo appeals to me about as much as Dead Island, and i dislike both.. Much better FPS's out there so this does not bother me in the least.
