The issue is the content, they watered down Battle mode (step backwards) and excluded a Mission mode.
Seeings as this is supposed to be a big title for the Wii U they really should have included that mode, and the battle arenas. I can practically guarantee there wouldn't be any low scoring reviews then.
Looks great, still seems a bit lazy that they watered down Battle mode and didn't include a mission mode like in MKDS though. You'd think they'd have gone all out on such a big title for the Wii U.
VR pretty much needs as close to 60fps as possible..
Feeling of being in the game would require very smooth motion, it does really need 60fps minimum and i've never even tried VR.
I'd bet a large amount of money that if anyone tried a game @ 60fps in VR then tried one locked @ 30 they would start to feel strange or ill after a short amount of time.
Being used to 120fps though, i even feel the difference @ 60 now.
Agreed, it wasn't too bad for SP but the MP was poor.. I never played much of it when it came out, Half Life 2 was much better IMO.
Depends who it's been outsourced to, Raven software used to make awesome fun MP games like Soldier of Fortune 2, so those guys would be a pretty safe bet for it being good.
Don't have high hopes though, hopefully it doesn't turn into a complete mess.. I was looking forward to this for multiplayer and co-op so much, and if it sucks there's only Killing Floor 2 left to have faith in. Plus possible Valve games this year.

The good thing is that for the next console, they have plenty of time to release it much earlier than both Sony & MS's next console. So they can make it much more powerful & have an early head start, if they get it right then they will have plenty of third party support which has been lacking.
Mario Kart 8 selling really well is pretty much a given, as for ssb i'm not sure as i'm not really a fan of it.
For me it's pretty easy to make out a player who's pretending to be someone they aren't. You get the hang of it eventually. Same with scammers or other odd things in games.
Some great games coming to PC this year, what with Killing Floor 2 just announced, a new Wolfenstein, Doom beta and potentially new Valve games (L4D3?) this year.. oh man, haven't been this excited for a long time.
Meh, how about games with funny sex jokes like in Conker.. oh wait, i forgot there ain't any games like that being made anymore. Pfft
First game was ok i guess, though it sucks playing FPS with a controller, i think Valve make the very best FPS games IMO.
I was able to run DC games pretty well years ago even on my old rig before my i7 920 upgrade in 2008 and even that's not the greatest today, i'd say near perfect for the ones i tried.. Chankast and Null DC.
All you need is a decent processor and a good GPU.. hell i don't think i had any game breaking issues running DC emulation on even my old 8800 GT cards.
Makes me wonder how or if they will even use the full capacity of the discs of the Wii U.
That's why i got a 512 GB SSD, games are starting to get bigger because of the next gen consoles.. most games i feel will still be in the 10-30 GB range, then the bigger titles will be 40-50.
Space isn't really a big issue though since i only have around 2-3 titles that i switch between at a time, i never play loads of games at once. Simple enough to delete & re-download them as well on Steam.
I can't see it being a new console, they only just brought out the Wii U.
But what Nintendo really need to do this time, is have more developers making first party games faster for the Wii U because third party support is lacking. Bring out a new console in a couple of years and make sure it's very powerful, doing this would make sure third party support will be strong for their next console, plus they would have a big head start over MS and Sony.

1080p is in no way a low resolution, it's just that 1440p and 4k are better (obviously..)
With 4k you're either stuck with downgrading the resolution to get high fps, or stick with the native resolution and get low fps.
For me, 1080p and 120hz is good enough at the moment. My next screen might be a 120hz 1440p, because even if you can't hit 120fps the game will still run fine with no drawbacks at 60.
