Was waiting for this, i admit 8gb is probably more than needed though. Since consoles have 2gb reserved for the system i assume 6gb vram will be enough all of the new gen of multiplat games.
Now if it's not stupidly priced like most of Nv's cards, i'll consider it. Should run UE4 games nicely. I care about fps so will use this @ 1080p, might get a 1440p 144hz screen when their reasonably priced. 4k is years away from being playable on 1 card at decent settings.
I'll be basing my next graphics card purchase around this engine and Source 2 if it's announced soon. Maybe the upcoming gtx 880 will be enough for 1080p 60+fps at high settings. Going by current benchmarks it seems the 780 can handle the Elemental demo quite well but still dips to around 30fps.. hopefully it just needs to be optimized more.
Need a new card soon anyways to play the new Wolfenstein i got in the Steam sale.
Same here, great price for a new game. Not gonna play it till i upgrade from my old hd 5870 to a gtx 880 or something tho.
Too bad, i used to like EA games back on the MegaDrive and the Tiger Woods games back in 2005 and before.
Eh? It is, i doubt the camera taking this video was shot in 60fps though..kind of useless naming it 60fps footage if the camera isn't filming at that speed.
@PeaSFor
And you think the console versions won't get pirated much when they are hacked? You must be living in a dream fanboy world.
Couldn't resist the new Wolfenstein @ 50% off.
The problem is now how are people's reaction going to be to a new Shenmue? People would now compare it to a new game like Watch Dogs and GTA.. It was much easier back then on Dreamcast because this was before any 3D GTA's or many open world games were around. And obviously back then the hardware only allowed so much, so they can do a lot more these days.
Only way around it is to make it much more open than the originals, it doesn't have to be really huge, just big...
Sure, they will just alienate the whole PC community that they've always developed games for primarily..
It just looks very similar to Sonic Heroes which wasn't anything special imo..
Why didn't they just take off from SA and improve it in every way possible for a new game?
Well the good thing is now everyone will take to UE4, an engine which is looking nice indeed and won't run like ass on good hardware like the CryEngine does.
Where's the gloves i read about not long back, allowing hot/cold sensations as well as feeling texture or something.. haven't heard anything new about those unless they are still under development.
I kinda gave up hope of it being good after it looked more like Heroes rather than the Adventure games, oh well.
Not many games i'm interested in this year, maybe i'll get the new Wolfenstein if it's on sale. Still waiting on more info about Killing Floor 2, and hoping the new Doom will be great when it's shown off at Quakecon next month.
I don't buy loads games for the sake of it when they're cheap as i'm unlikely to play them, so they would just sit unused in my games list anyway.
Most girls are materialistic with high expectations of everything, sadly.
Looks to be too similar to Sonic Heroes, and i didn't like that one at all.
Meh, i bet this game is going to suck as bad as the first one and feel unfinished.
Killing Floor 2 is looking much better, 3000 mo-cap animations for all the zeds and 19 points of dismemberment = more gore than the soldier of fortune games = tons of zombie-like killing fun.
if we're going on graphics and style.. i'd go Sony for the graphics of Uncharted 4 and then Nintendo for Zelda.
The only interesting game to me from MS was Sunset Overdrive.
The short Doom teaser was interesting as well so hoping it turns out good.
If it weren't for that awful stand design and nothing but red & black colours, i bet it could have worked.
Even if it only had nes/master system colours.
I took PerfectChaos on PSN when i had a PS3 early on.. good thing i did, hate choosing names with numbers or what not because a name is already taken.
