Shame some games have dips to as low as 20fps even on high end cards @ 1080p.. hoping cards get more powerful for the money, that or games should be better optimized.
if they dipped to 40fps lowest that would be great.. 20 is way too low though. need 60+ as often as possible.
Should've been obvious from the beginning and all i've been saying.
Even high end PC cards do not keep 60fps (as a constant) it can drop as low as 20-30 on the minimum fps scale even @ 1080p for some newer games, this is how it's always been and it kind of sucks because i've owned high end cards a couple of times on or just after release and there is ALWAYS a handful of games that still run crap even on them.
Personally i feel games need to be...
Nothing but bullshit, if you want to be good at that you just have regular exercise.
If you can find an answer to that, there will surely be a lot of money in it.
Girls are an enigma, though most of them are just after guys to buy them stuff. If you win the lottery and go around looking rich don't be surprised at the sudden influx of "girl interest" ;)
What they need to do is make Doom 4 a little similar to Half Life, Doom 3 was good but i felt Half Life 2 was better in 2004 - lots more interaction going on with stuff and the physics, puzzles etc. Doom 3 was much a corridor scare fest, it just needed to have more open levels and be a bit faster paced like the originals.
I thought they were finishing up Doom 4 like 6 months ago, i wonder what happened.
They could be on the right track since they want to do ...
Doom 4 will be good if it's more like 1-2, plus last ID said was that they were moving the Rage team over to help finish Doom 4? that was like half a year ago..
too much city and dull, like much of Liberty city.. yawn
I don't see anything exciting yet from the new xbox, Illumiroom was interesting at first but nothing more than a novelty.
The only thing truly new coming along is the Oculus Rift, but that's for PC.
Sony are in a much better position right now.
^ Hard to believe since many benchmarks show games @ 1080p well below 60fps on older cards, and i just checked benchmarks of your card on BF3 (never played it) and the average framerate for your card is 41.26.. that's not even minimum fps so it's going to drop a lot lower.
I know what i'm talking about, i had the best high end card in 2004 (6800 Ultra) and even that didn't run CSS or Half Life 2 @ 60fps all the time, it had many sections where it dropped as lo...
Not gonna happen, many PC games need graphics cards above recommended specs to play 60fps all the time. Not just some areas, because it can drop in intense parts.
on PC you still need a high end card for 60fps @ 1080P on newer games, been saying this for a long time but it should be obvious.
it will be the sweet spot for some time to come, consoles probably won't get a solid 60fps at that resolution all the time, i've seen many games on youtube that are years old running on consoles and the framerate is very up and down in some areas over the PC version. Doom 3 BFG is a good example.
Plus i remember some PC gam...
AMD could be better if they fixed microstuttering on multiple card setups, 2 7870's stomp all over Titan and are cheaper.. No good with the stutter existing though.
Maybe it would stop Nvidia releasing overpriced stop gap cards, or at least make them a lot more powerful than just a bit over a 680 which the Titan is. Titan's price will drop like a rock in the next couple of months when the real next gen cards arrive.
I'm not upgrading till Doom 4, ...
Nvidia state he obvious, it's like saying Vita is close to PS3 capabilities.. we already know -,-
ofc it will come to PC, hopefully not as half assed port this time though. Would be better if they developed it on PC first.
Multiplayer has huge potential on PC, for scriptable/moddable game modes.. just need that with open freedom and 50+ player online like SA-MP and we are good to go.
You don't need to upgrade the mobo and cpu every year, original i7's from 2008 are still just as good as the newer i7's at the same clockspeed. All you need is a new gpu every couple of years until a big jump comes in cpu power.
Also Titan is like a Mars card, overpriced and only a bit better than the 680, if they need to release a card so expensive they should make it better than at least 2 generations ahead, what a fail. the companies should work on fixing micro...
Not really interested in this for what's intended.. but i'll prob buy it as soon as it's hacked to work on PC for easy motion capture for 3D characters. Like the first kinect.
If you want what apparently seems to be the next best thing for new game play experiences you'll want a good PC and the Oculus Rift.
No, it may not be ready for awhile.
Source 2 has only beenin development for 2 and a half years, it took 6 years for Half Life 2 to come out after the first game. Unless they doubled the amount of developers before they began work on Source 2 then it's likely still a while off.
I personally expected Doom 4 and Half Life 3 to release near each other like similarly in 2004, this time we may see Doom 4 a fair bit earlier but who knows.
I can...
Probably be as boring as well, footage i've seen of Black ops and stuff just looks dull.. give me a fun game any day.
Already have a 65" Panasonic one ready and waiting for gaming goodness. Only used it for TV and films so far.
or you could just build a midrange gaming pc, and emulate all those plus gamecube, wii and dreamcast. Plus numerous pc exclusives and other games.
