I didn't mind that the split-screen online was nurfed a little. Hell, I put that out of my mind thinking "look at all the other options they have". Well now I'm adequately pissed off if this is true. I'm from Australia and terrible connections are pretty frequent for my CoD games. Even a loss of 1 bar really puts you at a disadvantage. I can't even describe my disappointment at this.

I heard Josh Olin made a contradictory statement saying that it W...

Each to his own. If you consider the weapons to be 'variable' in Borderlands, then that must be the only thing to hold onto.

You said that it was one of the most moronic ones you've seen on N4G, then you proceed to compare it to Fallout? A game which still has a reasonable amount of cool weapons, but also has branching storylines, moral grey areas, unique enemy types, balanced character perks, and a decent plot? Aside from cool weapons, Borderlands has NONE of t...

The 90's was such a great time for gaming mags. Demo discs that actually had incredible content, editorials that were interesting and in-depth. I STILL read those magazines and STILL play those demo discs from time-to-time (Kula World, Ghost in the Shell, Tomba!).

Then the internet happened, and some magazines still thought they were relevent.

Sometimes a longer game doesn't exactly equate to a good game, especially if you're doing the same old shit for the entire game. Thankfully the ending made it all worth while, that all that grinding actually attributed to an explosive finale with a boss that really seperated itself from the others in the game.

Oh wait, no it didn't.

Was there a specific embargo date on Black Ops reviews? If so, when are they coming out?

Borderlands is the ultimate in lazy game design. All the talk of an open world with millions of guns was quashed when you find out that "better weapons" didn't actually equate to "different looking guns". The open world was about as cooke-cutter as it gets, enviroments looked the same, enemies looked the same, weapons looked the same. Unless you have an attention span of 4 seconds, Borderlands might have been fun sporadically.

Bro, it's mentioned in the gamespot interview that this map has nothing to do with the game. Treyarch were given free-reign on a couple of maps and this is a 'Fallout' style nuke map.

If you want to play some "dull and gritty" games, all power to you. I like to have fun.

MS cash rolls justify Aaron Greenberg's shit-eating grin.

Avid IGN readers perhaps? The game-scoring system has been broken for as long as I can remember. If a game gets a 7 it's considered garbage. Why?

I may disagree with Jim Sterling most of the time (I loved Vanquish and Castlevania), but this is certainly not one of those times. He's absolutely right in this regard.

"Its actually very pathetic how a lot of you come on here, read the review, and then commence to whine and bitch about how poorly written it is. Who cares whether its poorly written or not? All that matters is whether you like the game or not."

Dear God, are these people actually using IGN as their main source for reviews?

A please to everyone who pirated this game and loved it, do Frictional Games a favour and buy this gem as well. I feel like they were short-changed a little with the number of sales.

Probably the best picture reference I've seen on this site. Hilarious looking dog.

The game is absolutely amazing. Whether or not you want to spend the $60 to check it out is up to you. Regardless of the price, everyone needs to play this game. It made for an explosive rental, and I bought it the next day.

I think you should play Deadly Premonition before you make any rational decision. The game aesthetically speaking, is NOWHERE NEAR the level Killzone 2 is of course. The story and dialogue however, is amazing. Too many gamers have pre-concieved notions that it's a terrible game, and in a lot of ways, it is. But it's so damn endearing and fun that I can't give it anything less than a 7. It's a game that is truly far more than the sum of it's parts.

Three weeks is a long time for a multi-plat to be out and 80k is ABSOLUTELY atrocious. It's not in any conceivable way a good number. I remember when Alan Wake sold some 200k in it's first two weeks, and even that was very, very poor. This however, is a disaster.

This is like a big f**k you to Ninja Theory when they constantly complained about Heavenly Sword not selling well.

The game is great, but they sure did bite off more than they could chew.

All of the dialogue is in English, but most of the menus/dialogue boxes are in Japanese. You shouldn't let that scare you away though, it took my about 5 minutes to figure out what was what. That said, if you have the option to get the UK Xbox version, pick that one up.

Awesome that 360 players in the UK will get a chance for this hugely underrated gem. I imported the ps3 version and haven't looked back.

If I hadn't known this was on Wii, I probably would have assumed it was for the ps3 and 360 as well. Wow.
