I prefer DOA's combat & animations so I'll wait for that.
Samurai Spirits looks like the weapons based fighter that'll do it for me.
Assuming it controls the same.
And therein lies the dilemma. Some characters have powers/movement that are inherently fun to play as a video game. Others, not so much.
Granted, anything can be fun with enough imagination, but I wonder how much success they would have trying to make each game its own genre or give them its own control scheme while still being fun.
Should they pull a WB, and give every superhero the same controls as Batman? (i.e. make every superhero play like Spider-Man).
Or....should they take the risk and give each superhero its own set of controls?
MK + Injustice = how all fighting games should treat their lore.
Granted, WB fighters are hard as fuck.....but man the production value is SO good.
If that were the case, porn wouldn't have categories. There are people who literally need to see some stepmom shit or else they aren't satisfied. lol.
No lag doesn't make a crappy fighter better either lol.
Animations are seriously outdated though. What is up with Namco making stiff moving characters for their 2 biggest fighting games?
Fighting Baldur over and over again instead of all the Norse gods in GoW didn't stop it from being good.
Just like Spider-Man ended up being good even though you didn't fight all of his villains as a boss as well.
As a relic of the 80s, I would have to agree.
All we were doing back then was looking at box covers saying to ourselves "I hope games look this good one day. Guess we'll have to wait." Lol
OK this is getting out of hand now....
The combat looks ridiculously clunky.
A Ninja Gaiden would be good.
Aren't FIFA games good?
3 more chapters left in Spider-Man............then I'll tell you.
True but both companies are in the ballpark of being able to eat good and live well. Its just that MS sits on a seemingly endless boatload of it, you'd think they'd be all in.
Great analogies this was an awesome read.
Games.
They run fine on my connection. But oddly enough, the games I specifically want to play aren't even on it.
They should've added more tombs and kept the focus on combat as is, instead of making it less.
I still enjoyed all 3 though.
I liked this series, and while I respect the 3rd one for being the biggest, and most challenging, the 2nd one had the perfect balance
They all do. lol.
