Its literally a mainline final fantasy, whether its every ff fans cup of tea or not, its status shouldn't be disputed.

All the big releases until this drops are now out, iv had my fun with totk and ff16 as of late and currently just bought diablo 4 which I'm hoping will make the wait for this a little less painful but finally starfield is within sight!!

Iv said that a few time son here, the act of the doing the actual side quests suck, but the story and world building g behind 90% of them is fantastic.
If your digging the world and story I would defs do them or a good portion of them atleast.

Game pass being good for a game really depends on the type of game, gamepass is fantastic for indie games and lower budget AA games or games like football managers that dont cost a bomb to make, but there's no way you can recuperate a big AAA single player games budget back by releasing it on gp unless ms basically pays for 90% of the cost the game took to make.ms can do it for there titles...

like i said the storys behind the quests really help build the world and the characters in it but the doing the actual quests isnt fun.

Hmmm for story and world building the quests are actually really good, it's just the actual act of doing the quest that's sucks but the story's behind the are actually pretty good for the most part.
I would skip them though and only do the side quest with the plus signs on them.
I played the game with out using any of the assist rings, I fact my ring slots were all used for gil,exp and ap boosts so I was basically playing the game with only 3 of 6 attachments and even then the game was still to easy.
I think the rings are a good idea, but really wish they made the game harder than they did with the rings being an assist if it's its to difficult.

I'm secretly hoping the FFX remake is real and that its not a re imagining but just the exact same game with a massive graphical overhaul.
That game was perfect to me while the hd remasters hold up well today, I'm a fidelity who're and would love to see ffx with current gen graphics and no other changes required.
We also have the rumoured ff9 remake as well which is my other favourite ...

I'm with on your last point I finished totk, put in about 90 hrs on that one and so far I'm torn between ff16 and totk.
On the one hand totk is a consistently great experience, however a very familiar one and while it was fun and it was everything it needed to be I was never really wowed or had an oh shit moment.
