i still have to disagree dude, final fantasy games are made up of so much more, they have a certain heart & soul to them that make them easily identifiable and this game has all that heart and soul of a FF game as well ff staples below.

FF9 and x are both my favourite FF's, i think its part of the reason im loving 16 so much is im getting see, use and battle against my favourite aeons/Eikons/Summons on such a grand and bombastic style.
I mean all i will say is bahamut has always been my favorite summon and my lord his parts in ff16 nearly made me cry tears of joy, untterly insane.

If your telling me it's turn based/party then people aren't actually final fantasy fans they are mechanic fans of turn based games not final fantasy.
I could point to 20 different reasons why this is a proper final fantasy but going off everyone opinions apparently what makes a final fantasy is the mechanics and nothing else lol.

Well those peoples reviews arent worth listening to, the game should be judged for what is was hoping to achieve and what it did achieve and the game that is there, not what people have as ff in there head and cause it's not what they want it's bad.

Honestly crimson I'm like 15 hrs in atleast and where you are, that is only the tip of the ice berg where your at.
Even where I am at, I still have a long way to go and it's just continually gets better and better.
It's absolutely ridiculous this game is, there is not enough superlatives I can't throw at it.
I will leave it at, currently its my game of this generation and honestly one of my favourite of all time.

From what I've played so far, its not game of the year, it's game of the gen!!!!
This games first 12 hours alone has so many goddam moments, whether its gut wreching, balls to the wall epic, slow world building and seeing the impact of previous actions.
The game has floored me.

it doesnt look bad at all and is still suer playable, but more ffx is always a good thing for me, i go through and play it atleast once every 2 years hahaha

Those are my 2 personal favourites, although at this rate ff16 is quickly going to eclipse them both, which I mean I knew 16 was going to be good, but game of the gen so far and fav ff ever at this rate I wasn't expecting that.

they are 3rd person action games, they don't lend themselves to being played via keyboard and mouse, just seems like a very imprecise way to play them.
itd be like me trying to play starcraft with a controller, the thought is funny to me as that would just be weird.
