Don't get me wrong the game runs fine even when it dips, its performs a lot better than most PC games at launch, its just considering its not utilizing the latest in graphics technology such as ray tracing and while the metals and interiors look great, plant life and outside textures look pretty ugly it should be performing better than it is.
Unfortunately I'm running Nvidia and a intel I9 CPU both of which seem to be gimped for some reason, not looking at you AMD!!...
yea look I'm not really digging the stories told anyway, i generally just skip through the dialogue as much as i can, it could also be im tired of actual dialogue system as opposed to the story still not sure which it is or if its both.
never been a fan of telling story's through books and stuff like that so cant say it bothers me, for me the key hook of getting missions and flying planet to planet to complete them is fun enough even if uninspiring which is the best...
I don't think it's that much worse than those games or a failed fuse.
For me the issue is it's that it is exactly those games, there hasn't been any innovation or something to be like oh hey they have elevated there type of games to a current gen standard.
For me its literally fallout in space, which ain't exactly bad, I love fallout but yea 10 years in the oven, all the hype from Bethesda that this would be genre defining and what not...
Tbh the partnership with amd was disappointing and honestly think its part of the reason the game doesn't look particularly great a lot of the time.
I'm running it at 4k ultra settings on my mobile 4080 and fps goes anywhere from the 50s-30s.
If dlss3 and fg were included you bet your ass I'd be more consistently at 60s.
I also thing it's part of the reason there is no ray traced reflections cause amd cards suck at it so...
Starfield has launched in a wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better state than Cyberpunk did, I've barely had any issues at all.
Is starfield as great as we all hoped it would be, no it's not. its a average to good game which is disappointing considering how high my hopes were for this, but if I remove the hype and expectations and just look at what's there it's still a good game just not a great one.
Buy it!!!
It was my first crpg and it's now one of my fav games of all time!
Just google a little looks at tips and tricks, things you should know before starting just so you have a better understanding and your good to go.
1.nintendo
2.xbox
3. Sony
I mean its not even arguable
I finished bg3 and put about 90 hrs Into that and I'm about 25 hrs into starfield.
I'm with the writer whole heartedly bg3 is something special and really is a 1 of 1 game. How larian made everything work and flow into each other regardless of the decisions you made big or small not to mention it felt like every few minutes you were making a big decision.
Starfield in comparison to bg3 seems cookie cutter tbh, it's fall out in space which is g...
Exploration no man's sky....
Literally everything else starfield!!
I don't know, the zero g space station battle I had with space pirates, blasting them away with my shotgun was pretty fun, just saying lol
Ohhh sounds like you have gone for a very different playstyle to me.
Stealth in this game does not seem like a viable option at all, game would be painful trying to play that way.
Agreed dialogue very rarely gives you the persuasion option, or anything other options for that matter especially coming off the back of bg3, where it felt like I was making big decisions every couple of minutes but bg3 is next level and a 1 of 1 game so won't hold it agains...
Time and money.......
I mean I've finished bg3 and am 20 hrs into starfield, bg3 is my goty just putting it out there, what larian achieved is ridiculous, bg3 is the literal definition of RPG!!
In saying that, bg3 is not a game for everyone, if you were more excited for starfield then I'd still go and play starfield first, I wouldnt let a few low reviews stop you, it's actually amazing, definitely not perfect but I'm still loving it even with its flaws and the game isn't exac...
They went with typical gripes of people that probably haven't even played the game lol not that it's all untrue but not really talking about some of the actual issues in the game.
If I had to list 5 if my gripes:
1. inventory management
2. No maps for the major cities which is just ridiculous honestly, incredibly annoying trying to find a specific place in the cities.
3. Inconsistent graphics, interiors look great and the lighti...
Why lol
To each there own I guess
Hmmm before the price hike it was a no brainer for me.
Lucky I pay yearly upfront so iv got 11 or 10 months before I need to pay the new price.
But yea will defs need to give it a think now at this price, it's not l9nger an easy decision which it was prior to the price hike
Enjoy it guys, once you play it, you will know why this is a lock for goty!!
Anything below a 7 for starfield is very harsh.
I means it's defs not game of the year and very much not game if the decade and it has a fair few issues, namely inventory management, fetch quests, fake space travel, time spent in menus and the aggregious act of not having a map for the main citys at minimum but outside of that really enjoyed the 18 hrs iv spent so far and look forward to countless more.
It's a solid 8.5 for me at this point so ove...
Worked just fine for me.
1 massive, eagerly awaited game from a highly acclaimed studio doesn't exactly change the narrative, bethesda games have always sold like hot cakes.
It's the exception not the rule at this point but either way very happy to see people buying the game enjoying my time with it so far, vanguard questline was pretty cool.
