@dangert12
How on earth do you compare LBP to Mario?
No sympathy tbh.. I went in their today and the cost of second hand games in there was almost always higher than what it costs to buy brand new on ShopTo... say what you will but there is no excuses really for some of the ridiculously high prices of their second hand games.
Blizzard never bothered with vanity items in WoW before the Activision deal.. now it costs half the full price of a retail game just to buy a cool looking mount. Blizzard are no angels I'm sure but you'd be naive if Activision didn't push for some of these things.
Can't say I'm surprised.. activision is no sinking ship as some people would want to believe but they've got a few holes that will only get bigger and activision have shown very little initiative in how to remedy this.
Kotick should have never fired West and Zampella.. they lost some of the most talented game designers and developers around to respawn.. irreplaceable people too. While the details were never released, he should have done more to keep the talented p...
I honestly think it's a smart move tbh.. I think call of duty is starting to go noticeably downhill, Blizzard's reputation amongst gamers has taken a huge dive after some of their choices with Diablo 3 and the new Panda expansion has been met with a very mixed reception. Now would be the perfect time to cash in on Activision Blizzard's success.
@araman
Yup plus Activision have shown with Guitar Hero and the Tony Hawk series a complete lack of ini...
Not to mention how blizzard ever since the Activision deal have started offering vanity pets/mounts in WoW for absurd prices.. half the retail cost of a game for a cool looking mount.. that's got Kotick's stench all over that one.
New IPs from EA? *shocked*
I was only half watching the conference however there were a few positives.. the zombie game looked AWESOME and makes me want to buy it for that alone. I also especially liked how they handled the 3DS stuff with a little demo video then saying they'd address it in a separate conference.. Sony can learn from that in future to please their Vita fans.
On the negatives though, the Mario game they showed for the Wii U looked poor.. maybe people enjoy that nostalgic stuff but p...
Because good old Halo 2 wouldn't be half as popular today... wished they had gone back to the old perfect Halo formula but these days you gotta be competing with cod and that means adding a bunch of useless crap to give players advantages.. raw skill based gameplay just doesn't do the rounds these days.
Same, sounds pretty imba tbh and looks like it's just waiting to be abused. Things like this have me a little worried that 343i aren't doing a beta.
Glad they got rid of jet packs.. while they were fun, maps had to be designed to incorporate them which in turn made for some awful maps.. sword base being a prime example.
Still, the thruster pack thing seems a bit too much like a mini sprint for my liking.. I hope it doesn't allow for a quick get-away card to escape being killed like many top players used sprint for in reach.
Shield better not block grenades and not stay up long.. could be an interesti...
It is extremely violent.. combine that with the realistic feel of the game I can see why people complain. Still though, why is it if you have a realistic war movie which tries to realistically depict the graphic nature of war gets praised universally almost yet a game can't? Some serious double standards.
How about some proper demo footage of the MP in action?
These Japanese developers sure do love their DLC.
Completely agree.. I remember entering a competition about 10-11 years ago where I had to write a 2000 word essay on the future of gaming and the winner would get to spend a summer interning at a codemasters studio.. I went with online console gaming.. never won the competition but was spot on with my predictions.
While there will always be great sp experiences, online is where the innovation will come and I reckon once the technology is there, we'll be seeing a lot more...
Watch Dogs won E3.
Imagine that an almost MMO like feature set where you'd have one big world where people could connect to and complete various different objectives.. players could then either help each other or take each other down. Could expand it further and have bounty boards for the most troublesome players. Think of it like the Matrix sort of thing.. in 10 years time maybe :(
Here we go again with the haters lol. If you was a big sports/football fan, you'd understand.
The focus of the changes are enough to keep me interested.. first touch has been a long time concern of mine however the dribbling worries me.. it's already so easy to draw the foul in the penalty box, I hope it doesn't become easier. The attacking ai could be interesting if it works properly and could actually make the game look more realistic, I just hope it doesn't turn into another gimmick like that personality plus BS.
Those unhappy with the changes, remember...
Nope instead we want to see Usher dancing on stage and angry bird ripoffs /s
