No it likely won't. Why? Because gaming uses such a tiny amount of bandwidth.
Wish I wanted to live in Poland or they hired remote.
1) I have high confidence that DICE is sincere when they say that they hate the negative feedback. Especially on something we all want to (should) believe they didn't choose to do.
2) I'm waiting and seeing what updates are made to address the issue and what the real realistic timeframe is to unlock everything post-launch.
3) They said that cosmetic loot crates are coming.
@Ittoittosai
Loot boxes by themselves are not something I have a problem. Destiny 2s? Worthless cosmetic items. There's one gear set in Bright Engrams and it's no better than other gear sets. The rest doesn't matter.
GTA V you could have a point. I don't know how hard it is to earn money now though.
I have no problem with loot boxes existing for cosmetic stuff that doesn't alter the game. Or even for somethi...
My one thing in defense of DICE is that they likely didn't choose to implement this on their own. As such, we better not see negative backlash from EA to DICE. DICE made a great game. It was almost assuredly EAs direction to implement the progression system as they did. DICE should not get punished for that.
Ding ding ding!
Pay you shall. Or grind you will. Forever.
That was stopped because of social justice warriors whining about college players not being paid. When their names weren't being used in the game to begin with.
Even 1/4 of that is insane.
I would bet that overall sales will still be pretty high as most people don't go on reddit.
Not news. They already announced they were changing the amounts.
Yes it's optional. But if you don't pay, you'll be waiting a LONG time to get certain things.
Yeah the pay to win stuff sucks but I don't think an issue with a video game compares to a totalitarian regime that killed millions of Jews, dissidents, and others for being who they were.
Get off CNN for a few minutes for god's sake.
I'm ok with that. The only thing that would have made Witcher 3 better was some ability for coop.
I don't know about the standard PS4, but on my PS4 Pro, the game looked incredible.
I agree. It was very good. Short. But very good.
Really? Send me info to fake@email.com!
I agree on the Division. While I enjoyed it, the potential for the story wasn't really realized. It was there but you kind of glossed over it. If they had made it more like Uncharted at the beginning and then brought in all the extra online stuff and side mission/collection missions after you beat the main story (other than the ability to do coop), it would have been a better game. It's biggest problem by far though was the bullet sponge enemies. Multiple clips by multiple people...
Loot boxes I'm fine with. Disruptive loot boxes that lock upgrading/being able to play the game without massive amounts of grinding (or pay for tons of loot boxes) as was the case in the Battlefront 2 beta I am not fine with. Keep the loot boxes limited to cosmetic items or things like minor XP boosts. EA would be wise to copy Destiny's loot box system for Anthem.
@Mr-Dude
Witcher 3 was $81 million between development and marketing. They said they had a net profit of $63 million in the first 6 weeks. I'm sure it's more now.
Because the governments of the world are completely without agendas and are totally competent so I guess they should control it? Corporations own it because they have an interest in offering more services people can pay for. What we need in the US is for the government to get out of it, end mandated monopolies stifling competition (which if we didn't have we likely wouldn't have to worry about this in the first place), and allow more competition make it so that if one ISP tried to d...
