Just keep the social justice warrior out of it and I'm probably sold.
Ew.
Even animated CGI that takes minutes or hour to render scenes still has a way to go. So no. For movies we're getting close, but we're not there yet. On consoles we're a long way off. At least in terms of in-engine rendering.
@Apocalypse Shadow
You're confusing a few things. Muscle cars are loud because the engines are larger. Even something like an SRT-4 is fairly loud. A Harley is loud because the owners want them loud. Not because they have to be. All these vehicles can relatively quiet if the owner desires. In a racing game though, you're going to go with something least restrictive so it's going to be louder.
What sucks is there will be dicks who pirate the game still.
Bugs are half of what makes this game entertaining. It sure isn't the npc chatter that you can't disable.
@Nivekki It had nothing to do with feminism. It had to do with her growing up isolated and not being accustomed to her being courted. Plus she had other things on her mind and to do. Romance wasn't a priority.
I got the opposite impression from E3.
I'm thinking 2019 or 2020.
Please don't add it. The game is amazing already. It doesn't need romance options.
I'd be interested in the $10-15 range.
It would be stupid of them not to use another x86 CPU with an AMD GPU. Easy and straightforward backwards compatibility that way. Besides, PS4 and XB1 games run inside a hypervisor so it's even easier.
You realize not just white men participated in WW2 and other game settings right?
"Social justice" is a weak argument in the misguided fight for women in video games. Let developers make the games they want. Not the games that are politically and socially correct. If they want to put women in games, fine. I don't give a crap. But don't do it to make some manbun sporting, skinny jeans wearing, starbucks sipping hipster or black tanktop without a bra on feminist happy.
Case in point, Horizon Zero Dawn with Aloy at the center was gre...
In the GPU. Not the CPU.
Looks like they removed the article
Its unquestionable that it has a more powerful GPU and more RAM. But for CPU, no, it's not. 2.3 GHz vs 2.1 GHz. Yes there are a few other tweaks but it's still Jaguar when it comes down to it. Ultimately everything is still bound to the CPU. And neither console is particularly strong in that area. I'm sure in the next generation we'll have consoles that are capable of true 4K with hopefully 60 fps. Clearly we have the GPUs for it, just need to run a CPU that is at least...
I think this just goes to show the weakness in the CPUs of this generations consoles. And given that this is an exclusive, proves that other cross platform title devs aren't lying when they say they can't support 60FPS even on XBO:X. Just because you've got a hefty GPU, doesn't mean your CPU can match it.
Just a 1080, which you need to do 4K gaming at around 60FPS in nearly all games is $500+. Then throw in CPU (let's be real if you're buying a 1080, you're at least getting a Core i5), 8-16GB of RAM, and motherboard. You're talking another almost $500 or more there. Even if you go budget to AMD on the CPU you're still batting around $400 for those if not more.
So while not $1500-2000, $1000 is reasonable.
I don't think it looks "bad". But I do agree it looks generic. And it does not appear to be a great example of how powerful a console can be. And with the destruction limited to multiplayer only, that kind of robs you of the experience.
