And it actually looks bloody!
You're not doing yourself any favours. Practically every game on the PS3 outputs at 1080p. What it outputs at doesn't matter. But I'll play along. Titanfall isn't 1080p native and it looks great.
Not to rain on everyone's parade but what's "important" is the native resolution. The game descriptions only say what it can be played at just like the majority of PS3 games. The box says 1080p but that doesn't mean it's the native res.
That said, doesn't really matter to me. 1080, 900, 720, a good looking game looks good regardless. The Last of Us isn't 1080p native. I don't hear anyone complaining.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
lol. you can't be serious. there's no way he's going to go with capcom after kickstarting over 3 million. Especially after nickel and diming the people with, "oh gimme 1 million more and I'll add an intro sequence with a boss battle. 1 more million and I'll add a 3DS version."
I would love it if he did though. Teach people a lesson that someone like inafune, who has the means to fund his projects, shouldn't be using kickstarter at all. At the...
I fail to see why the two are even compared. There a lot of PS4 games that you won't see on Steam and vice versa. Including 3rd party games. The price doesn't really matter because if you can only afford one, you'll buy the one that has the most games that you want to play.
I preordered a PS4 because of all the 3rd party games, but primarily because of Sony's stable of first party devs. I don't game on PC so even if the cheapest steambox was $200, I still ...
If MS actually used XB1's at demo stations, they'd be crashing too. Instead they had PC's using nvidia cards crashing all the time. Go figure.
If it has a little less gameplay than the average game, so what? It's nice to have different experiences. Asura's Wrath is pretty basic with the gameplay mechanics but it was an absolute BLAST to play through. Heavy Rain was great, and hopefully Beyond is just as great, if not better.
There are literally hundreds of games out there that are all about 100% gameplay. What's one "game" that doesn't have a ton of it in it? Where's the harm?
...
Yeah, PS3 only sold 76 million units. Misconceptions totally ruined it. Totally.
My comment is purely based on the strapline. I didn't bother giving the site an extra click.
@Kleptic
No, firmware updates occur when the PS4 isn't being used. If you're online playing or downloading something from the store, it's not just going to push the fw to you. It runs fw updates when the PS4 is in sleep/low power mode.
Firmware updates happen in the background when the PS4 isn't being used. You'll never see or wait for them.
Don't worry. Once they activate the much vaunted "power of the cloud," they'll have Ryse running in 4k at 120fps locked with over 1000 enemies on screen and every lighting and particle effect known to mankind filling the screen.
Gravity Rush was made by Team Gravity. Not the same team working on TLG. Separate teams that are all part of SCEJ.
Because boobs are more abhorrent than any other crimes against humanity. People are stupid.
How backward is our society when something as natural as a woman's body causes so much ire versus child soldiers, murder, torture, war, etc?
And Kojima said there's a REASON why Quiet is dressed like that and without proper context, he shouldn't be judged.
PS4/XB1 aren't out until November. 2 months from the GTAV launch. Do the math.
I don't know what kind of little girls she hangs out with, but Quiet looks like a voluptuous woman.
Unless it's DQ, it doesn't matter.
The XB1 release date doesn't mean anything to Sony or MS outside of it being a release date. The 1 week difference isn't significant enough to impact the next 10 years for either company. Media sites have been trying to drum up hits (not this article) by trying to convince readers that a couple of weeks is a MAJOR deal when it really isn't. Even so far as saying that if MS released on Nov 5th with CoD, it'd spell doom for Sony. LOL. Too funny.
#1. GTA isn't a game WiiU ONLY owners would want as evidenced by the poor sales of any game not from Nintendo's first party stable.
#2. Rockstar probably didn't think it'd be worth it to waste time/money on a WiiU port (games don't just port themselves) due to reason #1.
Not really Nintendo's fault.
You can have all the content on the store beforehand and just make it go live at a specific time. It's not like someone is madly clicking and watching upload progress meters every tuesday up until the time of publish. None of the content is time sensitive like printing a newspaper. It's baffling why they can't publish at an exact time every week.
