They missed one crucial aspect in the comparison. How do I play PS4 exclusives on the Alienware?
Crash was a product of its time. What do you want out of a Crash game now? The same kind of straight forward gameplay looking at Crash's back or looking at him run towards the camera with spruced up graphics?
No? Something different like a Mario 64 kind of change? Then it's not Crash anymore.
You think you want it, but you really won't once it's made. Same with Jak. No one buys Ratchet and Clank games anymore.
Agreed. Completely worthless.
Transistor and Rogue Legacy came out May and July of 2014. I think if you bought them then, like I did, you got your money's worth. I'd rather pay $15 and play them instead of waiting 7 months to see if it goes free.
Clickbait article.
The price was never the problem. The complete and utter lack of games was, and continues to be, why I'm not buying one. If you're not a fan of first party Nintendo games, there's no reason to own one, even for a cheap price.
Despite the 8 million lead the PS4 has over the XB1, it's highly unlikely that Uncharted 4 outsells Halo 5 in terms of launch day/week/month/LTD.
Halo 5 will have a much higher attach rate than U4.
lol so much hate in the comments. Not every game is god's gift to mankind you know. It's good to have dissenting views on any topic. What's the point of reading anything if all you like are points that validate your own?
You don't like what they wrote? That's fine. Give some examples as to why you disagree. It's kind of hard for any of you to do that because unlike the author of the article, you likely haven't played a single second of the game. ...
Virtual Reality > Augmented Reality
Totally agree!
IGN should stop giving glowing reviews for broken games.
You can't possibly give a game like this such a high score. When measured against games today, it fails in every respect. And yes, you do have to judge it against modern games because it's a new game for the console. It doesn't get a free pass just because it's an up-res of a 19 year old game. It suffers from numerous design, gameplay, and graphical issues that would destroy a modern game's review.
The bigwigs at MS are idiots plain and simple. Just get rid of the clause. What's the point of having it if you don't enforce it 100%? They're such hypocrites.
"Oh that indie title isn't very big so we're going to enforce the parity clause."
"OMG, that indie title is selling like hotcakes on Playstation! We will not enforce the clause on that one!"
Either get rid of the clause or enforce it without exce...
They couldn't even come up with a solid list of 5 reasons.
2 and 5 are the same point. And how is locking out millions of 3DS users from playing certain 3DS games a positive? It's not like this is a generational upgrade. It's like saying only people who buy the upcoming NEW WiiU can play the new Zelda game.
4 really? And no, it still looks like a fisher price toy.
3 No it's not.
1 This is the only valid poi...
There's no way this game doesn't have any bronze trophies. But then again, the number of silvers and golds is out of the ordinary. By a lot. What a weird list.
Sony increased the lead by another 1 million units in December. Why on earth would they cut their price?
Nintendo fans are so easily to please.
Majora's Mask remake...yay.
Another mario game (donkey kong vs mario)...yay.
Mario Galaxy 2 re-release...yay.
Super punchout re-release...yay.
Metroid Prime Trilogy re-release...yay.
Hyrule Warriors DLC...yay.
Amiibo Smash...yay.
Ammibo Mario Series...yay.
New 3DS release date...yay. Screw me more Nintendo. Please.
Look at how pathetic that list is. Just...
Please find me even one example of a big AAA title that was announced and released to the public within 7 months. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Gaming is a business. Companies want to build as much hype as possible for a big title to get people to buy into their hardware earlier. "Hey, we've got this BIG game coming next year that will convince you to buy an XB1, but in the meantime, check out these great games!"
No business in their right minds ann...
@green, the better question is, why would I want it to?
I would argue that The Order 1886 has zero hype behind it. The early word on it was so poor that it wasn't on anyone's radar. It's only been very recently where people have changed their minds to, "hmm, it could be ok."
No Man's Sky has ridiculous hype and after the poor year Ubisoft has had, I would think that expectations are going to be very tempered with regards to The Division. I know it's not developed by Ubisoft.
They can't be "big" games if they're coming out in 7 months with no word on them.
Lack of advertising? LOL! Sony is pushing this game hard. Numerous trailers. TWO AR websites. A commercial that aired on Superbowl Sunday. Another one that aired tonight during The Walking Dead. 5 behind the scenes videos. Events with playable demos. They're supremely confident in the game. I honestly haven't seen them push a game this hard before.
What more do you want?
