The best way to think about it is this. You're paying for online play. The games are bonus. The discounts are bonus. The cloud saves are bonus.
If your only reason for paying for PS+ is for the games and you're not happy, then you're doing it wrong.

They announced it's coming to PS4 with VR support on stage at PGW. Pretty specific if you ask me.

The purpose of saying the day 1 total of MGSV beat Avengers is to say exactly that. Taking all other factors out of it, MGSV brought in more money than Avengers did. That's all it is. There's no need for any in-depth analysis. It just shows how big games have gotten.
I think they should have devoted more resources to making the actual game rather than a game AND a "movie."

The thing is, it's not just Fallout 4 vs Rise. The last quarter has a lot of big franchise titles releasing. Sure you can say people can buy more than one, but when there are literally a dozen games to buy, will Rise rank high on people's lists? Time will tell.

Weird award winners. I don't understand how Battlefront won for Playstation and MGSV won for Xbox. Both games are on both platforms.
The point is they're touting cloud computing but it's obviously not going to apply to anything in the single player campaign because obviously, they can't assume that everyone has an inet connection. The "benefits" are MP only.
It's not like the first one did gangbusters on the 360. People aren't really frothing at the mouth for the new one. And SE killed what little excitement they had when they announced the PC version for early 2016 and PS4 later in the year. Couple all that with the deluge of big franchise games coming out at the same time and it doesn't bode well for TR.

The PS2 did not sell 150 million in 66 months. Check your facts. That would be 27.27 million every year during those 5 years and 6 months. Never happened. It took the PS4 almost 2 years to hit 25 million. You think the PS2 vastly outpaced that?
Why would they team up? It doesn't work for Nintendo because their audience doesn't buy 3rd party games. Period. Especially not of the type that Kojima makes.
It doesn't work for Kojima because he wants to work on powerful hardware and at the same time, reach a large audience. Two strikes right there as Nintendo hardware is weak and has the lowest install base.
Just because Nintendo and Kojima are big names doesn't mean it's a match made ...
The problem with Steam Machines is that there are way too many SKUs from too many manufacturers. To actually compete with the console market, they needed to come out with one box that plays everything that the consumer can EASILY upgrade with components that come out every year or two from one manufacturer or at least universal components across the board.
