There wasn't really much reason to not include it apart from the amount of time/work it would take when they already remade a very long game.
The game did have an explosive release, they're doing crazy numbers, I don't even know how much servers cost for games.
It's a PC game that is also available to Xbox, they're only a small dev, so they may not have the man power/money to port it to more systems. I'm enjoying it myself though, it's pretty fun despite the bugs, a few people have already broken the game.
@Obscure_Observer,
Most Square-Enix games are on PC and other systems, FF16 will probably come to pc eventually.
For me, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 for mainline games.
Release period hype.
Wouldn't be the first time I picked up something I was excited for, only to later find out I didn't like the game, and I'm the type of person who will preserve for a long time. I played Tales of Zesteria up until the water temple where I shelved the game permanently and never picked it up again.
I always wait for a month or two for "real" reviews to come, a lot of the earlier reviews tend to be bias by hype or fans of said franchise.
I'm surprised, I keep hearing negative or semi-neutral reviews for this game, with most reviewers saying the game play is fun enough, but the boss fights are uninspiring (that and it sucks the way the Justice League gets put down).
Who knows, start placing your bets!
They already tried that with Steam Machines, spoiler warning: it did not go well.
I feel like this already happened with Sony, they've played it super safe so far and haven't put out anything unique or exciting for a while. They've shut down Japan Studio and even refused the opportunity to put out new or remasters of Shadow Hearts and Wild Arms games, I would at least love a Gravity Rush 3 (I'm sure that movie will suck, but if it leads to a Gravity Rush 3, I'm all for it).
I can't say Sony has thrilled me with games this gen, th...
@darthv72,
I'm more inclined to think they'd go to Nvidia first like Nintendo supposedly has, but we'll see.
I wouldn't be surprised if they left the hardware space, they just can't get people to buy Xboxes, and Gamepass is already available on other devices like PC. I think we're more likely to see them announce a slew of games for PS/Nintendo consoles.
I've actually heard more rumours this week of Xbox games going to other consoles, but that could just be the internet snowball effect or something.
@BoneMagnus,
Doesn't matter what h...
I get the feeling we won't see any new games, maybe more about upcoming games that were already announced at best.
Those are some crazy rumours, but based on their current behaviour, those are some believable moves for Xbox.
@wesnytsfs,
I friggin hate the Xbox controller layout, I bought the 8bitdo ultimate controller because of the rave reviews, and the fact that Win11 messed up Bluetooth badly, so a lot of stuff like my 8bitdo Pro 2 won't connect (It's a struggle to connect my AVR or bluetooth speaker). PS controllers have always been more comfortable for me, but I...
Probably not, but it'll be shoved down our throats once a deluge of them is released or AAA developers start using it to shove out incomplete games faster. Instead of using it to boost the productivity of their current workforce and make a more complete, bug-free game without crunch time.
I believe there was also another game that got removed from Steam in December last year? I'm glad I already grabbed some of these games.
I almost play none of these live service games as it is, if they cut back too much on every other type of game, I'll just lean harder into my backlog until the situation self-corrects (I hope).
How can you even tell the writing was bad? The trailer was a good showcase for the game, and that's all I care for in a trailer, I want to know what type of game I'm in for, not a story within a trailer.
