@Eonjay,
Maybe? I expect it's performance to be somewhere between the original Switch and a PS4, I don't think it'll be as powerful as a Steam Deck. They will most likely want to get the hybrid system idea intact, thus, they can't go too crazy with performance.
You could see the mess that was Starfield coming from a mile away, Helldivers 2 was a bit of a surprise though.
The game isn't even that expensive, it's cheaper than the majority of physical games available on Nintendo Switch, although I do think it should have more content, it doesn't look like it has enough variety for me (which I find typical of most online shooting games).
Xbox has enough studios, I cannot fathom how it's gotten, or still at the point, where they have almost nothing to play, especially now that we're at the halfway point of this gen and talking about new consoles.
All of my friends and co-workers who bought Xboxes last gen bought PS5s this time, I don't know anyone who owns a current gen Xbox, it's the worst deal of the 3 consoles, has been for a long time (let's pretend the WiiU never existed).
I feel like we're already seeing Sony act as if Xbox wasn't in the hardware business, they're barely any competition for Sony as it is. People will disagree with me for this, but Nintendo is more competition for them than Microsoft is.
That would get you almost all the games from Xbox/Playstation, Playstation does have a few exclusives left though.
I really don't understand why they just don't buy a Playstation.
Bring it to PC, if it's an updated version (unless it's sequel, which is also very possible), I did hear rumors of SMT V coming to PC before, but I never thought it could be true.
All those ideas, and the franchise is still floundering, maybe it's time to give the franchise to another developer to have a go at.
I don't know of anyone that speaks fondly of the later Halo games, I would like to play 5, but I know it's not good, and I'm just waiting on Infinite to hit my strike price. I played MCC a lot later after it came out, so must of those bugs/issues were gone by the time I played it.
I really got to get around to playing the Sky and Crossbell games.
That PS3 adapter was how I backed up my old console's save data, I pulled out both my PS2s late last year, only one was working, I'd be tempted to pull the second one apart and fix it, but I don't know what it's issues is and thus, don't know what part to replace/fix.
I've wonder for a long time if PS1/PS2 save date could be loaded up with emulators.
It's a pity you don't see this kind of stuff outside of Japan, it really whips up the hype.
There are a lot of games that consumers have been asking Playstation for, Playstation won't do it, so a lot of these developers have gone and made it themselves by any means possible such as Kickstarter (e.g. Armed Fantasia, Penny Blood, Ratatan, 100 Heroes, ect...). Developers have even asked if Sony could help them out with porting/remasters some of these older games for Playstation, they said no.
I don't see how this feels like the 00's for Xbox, it feels more like the end days for them, at least they have more money than Sega for what it's worth. I remember everyone picking on Xbox until Halo came out, then we were all packing into friend's houses and networking Xboxes together, now it's rare to hear of anyone owning or talking about the brand (not even as a punching bag), there is literally no excitement about the Xbox brand today.
@Skuletor,
In the end, didn't only Crack Down end up taking advantage of the cloud's power? One game out of so many.
Since Covid happened, I fully expected this to be a longer generation than normal, I'm very surprised to find out that this gen is probably going to be your standard length, it took a couple of years to even maintain a steady output of PS5s.
I miss their more creative games, I'd also be thrilled if some of their older IPs got revived with a new entry, I still think this is one of their worst generations, I even prefer the PS3 at this point, and I remember the start of that gen being rough.
@Number1TailzFan,
I'm salivating at the coming AM6 platform, I might actually build a whole new PC (I'm sitting on a Ryzen Gen 1 mobo, and a Gen 3 CPU), CPU performance has been wild in the last few years.
