I just feel like there's too much content, I'll never play all the games I want to play in my lifetime, I'm going to need at least 3 lifetimes to enjoy everything.
@fsfxii,
Clock out at 4pm? I doubt it with the way Japanese work culture is, maybe the branches in other countries do.
Nintendo is still pushing out amazing games despite how badly they've crippled themselves with their hardware, it's amazing that something like BoTW/TotK actually exist, every other developer struggles to understand how they even got those physics working.
I only finished Xenogears on it in January, nice to see it's still getting the ocassional update.
It really does feel like he'd rather be making TV or movies rather than games, although Hollywood might be hard to break into (I heard he's had some trouble already).
Multiple hobbies really are hard to juggle, I started going to the gym last year, between that, gaming, model kits, reading, ect... I don't really have enough time for everything I want to do. I actually need to drop some hobbies or interests.
Nintendo is always 2 steps forward, one step back, I really hope they don't mess BC up, they have taken steps that indicate that we'll be able to keep our Switch libraries, some of those games could really benefit from more processing power.
This, I got so sick and tired of the Nintendo Pro spec/release date rumours, now I'll probably get it all over again with the Switch successor (except the Switch 2 actually exists and will come out).
I think the boom in AI has encouraged that behaviour in tech, CEOs, and many other people see it as the silver bullet to increase production in everything, when it really should be seen as a force multiplier (pushing out more work, at higher quality, in less time).
I've seen the "more with less" mentality in retail and it's a disaster for both staff and customers.
Not everything needs to be an AAA game though, you can have perfectly fun games without throwing a huge budget at it. Rather than being overly ambitious or half-assing it and spending a lot of money on development, I'd be happy with a more budget experiences that are complete, bug-free and fun.
I don't understand why gutting the CEO's pay isn't the first thing companies do, it's obviously bad management, you could probably save a portion of those jobs by docking their pay. I recall that a Nintendo CEO docked his own pay to keep staff at one point when the company wasn't doing too hot.
What was even the thought process behind closing Japan down?
I don't necessarily agree that the industry has changed, sure development costs increased, but Sony isn't making good moves this gen, and people are still forking out for bangers like BG3, P3R, Infinite Wealth, ect... I also feel like Sony isn't releasing the variety of games like it used to either, they just seem to be hyper focused on similar types of games and doubling down on Gaas. I aslo think that loosely following in Microsoft's steps and introducing a 3 tier subscripti...
@dumahim,
Holy moly, I've never seen that happen, even when he is right, everyone is taking Ls in the industry lately.
Nintendo has less censorship than Sony now, in fact, for a long time now, so it's not surprising that it's on the Switch, also they already has some South Park games on there.
I can't speak for 16 because I haven't played it, but you're right about the other games, I wish they didn't change the story for FF7 remake though.
I'm surprised that didn't happen either, seems like an obvious choice, but then again, I hear Bravely Default 2 didn't do very well.
I love his music, when I was playing through the golden age of FF games, his music was so memorable, the music in FF hasn't been quite the same since.
I loved both games, pity we never got a third game, because it was left open for a sequel, I don't know how I feel about the existence of the movie, I feel like they might screw it up, but we'll see.
Honestly, I wasn't that interested in the game despite it being a Vanillaware game, but after playing that demo, I played that for ages and had a lot of fun, I think I'm going to end up buying this.
Supply and demand feel like completely disconnect terms in today's business world (the stock market is so disconnected from reality), the amount of times I work into a supermarket and the place looks like a bomb hit it, shelves empty, no staff. And a lot of stuff I buy just seems to be lesser quality compared to it's equivalent before the pandemic, clothes fall apart faster and more easily, office chairs are built like crap, I hate today's economy.
