So at this point in time... they've got nothing. They need to announce some new games, that article's list was pretty pitiful. People have to remember Scorpio is not a game changer, just like the Pro is not a game changer, they both fill a niche and that's it, they're both console refreshes. A refresh will not fix either console's issues or downsides.
They can still have a strong finish to the gen, but this article made good points on what they should be doing. Most people are already heavily invested in their console of choice, especially if it's a Playsation (the software library is ridiculous good at this point in it's life cycle).
This is my biggest issue with it, a bit of story at the beginning and end, nothing much in the middle.
I'm also worried about their marketing team and how long it's taking to get games out, seriously guys, pace out your announcements, you can't maintain hype for 3, 4, 5, 10 years.
TBH, I like FF XIII more than I like XV, XV's pretty forgettable (both games are heavily flawed). That and XIII improved as each sequel came out, personally I would rather them focus on 16 instead of fixing 15's flaws.
This, they game did well enough, although I don't think it quite deserved all the accolades it got, the press never really gave what I would consider an objective review. After playing it, I know I defiantly don't want to spend my money on the DLC.
I know I'm impatient, but i want them to hurry up.
Well, with the IPs they've got going, they do well as a software company, they make bank, they'll probably never become a hardware company again though.
That may be hard, I'd imagine it'd be a dead game by now (sometimes it's hard to find matches on Titanfall 2). I pray for a 3rd game though.
I don't understand why it's getting so much praise, I've played much better games this year. The story seems somewhat interesting, but the game play makes it hard to tolerate a good play through.
I'm glad I played the demo, sometimes reviewers get it horribly wrong. E.g. I felt that FFXV got too much positive praise rather than an objective look at the game as a whole. It wasn't until after the game had been out for a while, that non-pro reviewers looked at the game more critically and I felt that their reviews were more accurate. After playing the Prey demo, I knew my initial assumptions about the game were pretty spot on and didn't change my decision to not purchase it. ...
I would have preferred 60fps, then the pro/Scorpio can use their extra processing power for higher res (I'd accept even 1440p)

I just thought it was an underwhelming game, it didn't look that good in the trailers. After playing the demo, I'm glad I didn't buy it, the gameplay feels sluggish, it feels bad to play. I've got friends who really enjoy the game, and I've got one other friend who like me, didn't like it but he was hyped to play it. Although I did see alot of TV ads for the game.
The problem with VR is that there is no killer app or game on any console or PC, most developers have trouble working the tech into their games so that it feel natural and good. Without having played it myself, Farpoint looks to be the best implementation of VR so far. Microsoft really needs to work on bringing more games to the table before relying on what's pretty much a gimmick at this point in time.
Did you get the FES edition? That's pretty damn definitive (Stuffs me how people didn't understand the ending of the Journey in the FES or vanilla edition).
This, there's enough versions of the game when it was at the height of it's popularity, no need to remake or remaster it. I'd rather them get to work on Persona 6 but it looks like we'll get a ton of spin-off first based on all those Domain Names Atlus registered.
I don't necessarily think so, there's not a big difference between the baseline PS4/Xone, there're similar performance-wise, I believe it came down to the exclusives being the deciding factor (that and Microsoft dicked up their initial announcement/reveal of the Xone).
Pretty much this, although native 4k looks better than upscaled to 4k, average consumers won't care or might not even notice unless their played side by side.
If they announce a new handheld, they better support it this time, or at least give us some more Asia-English releases to make up for it.
