I'm planning to get this one towards the end of the month: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/t...
I would like to get it in the 65" but it costs 800AUD more than I want to spend since I use my computer monitor more than my TV.
I liked Halo, it was THE GAME to own on Xbox (a real console sale pusher), it's the multiplayer aspect that made the game and the Xbox such a big hit. Everything before that was mediocre, thus no one wanted an Xbox before (I remember when everyone used to make fun of Xbox and the people who owned them, funny how the times change).
I bought a GTX 1050ti while I wait for Vega... Was going to continue using my RX 480 but it dying.
@unreal01,
Not if you Australian, by the time you do the currency conversion, you find that great buy you found isn't all that cheap after all (They could at least sell in Australian dollars like GOG does). Personally I want someone like GOG to take a good chunk of Steam's market share, I like their practices and service better.
@ForeverTheGoat,
Eh, are you sure? It seems to be about the same amount to me.
Personally, I think Journalism as a whole is going down the tube, so much low quality, fake news, bias and non-stories on tv, papers and the internet.
From personal experience, Nintendo hardware/software generally doesn't really drop in price. I know the Wii sold well and it was cheap to make, so Nintendo was rolling in doe at that time.
Really? You couldn't see Crash being a best seller? That game is fueled by nostalgia. Unfortunately, I think people will be put off by the price tag of the X1X despite that it's actually a really good price for what it is. I know one or two die hard fans are getting it (one of which hardly plays his Xone anymore so I was kinda shocked he dropped money on a pre-order for the X1X).
@DiRtY,
This, as much as I like Nintendo and it's great first-party exclusives, it's 3rd party support is always weak. I hope they can really build up the momentum here and get a good flow of worthwhile games coming out.
We can barely manage 4k as it is, so I imagine next gen would be more likely to solidify 4k 60fps.
I feel like I barely had my PS4, so I hope to a few more years out of it.
I was hoping to have at least a few more years with my PS4, but 10 years seems too long before a new gen. I'd accept a 2020 date personally.
Some of my friends only just managed to get a copy, the others...
It looks okay, i'm neither thrilled or disappointed, so I'll wait and see how it pans out.
That's why I hope the PS5 has backwards compatibility with the PS4, I wouldn't mind a more expensive, separate model with the ability to play PSone/PS2/PS3 games, but that's a pipe dream at this stage.
People haven't shut up about it since Scorpio, Scorpio was a mid-gen refresh, pro was a mid-gen refresh, I don't want a PS5 yet and not for a couple of years at the earliest.
@nitus10
I find most laptops pretty difficult to work on, if it's not a simple hardware fix or something easy to replace, then it's better to buy a new one (my current laptop has the worst touchpad, but this series of Lenovo laptops are notorious for it apparently).
I think you mean, they need to wait long enough for technology to become stronger and cheaper to make a new console that worthwhile (spec-wise). At the moment, I care not for the PS5 while the PS4 is still so enjoyable.
For times when I give a shit about power, I turn to my PC, when I want great exclusives I can't get anywhere else I turn to Playstation or Nintendo.
I would be pissed if they announced a PS5 this year or next, I'm really enjoying the PS4 and just can't keep up with all the games they're releasing for it, its' just getting out of control for me. I don't understand why people want a PS5 to come out when the PS4 has all this momentum, why throw all of that away and start a new gen from scratch (Nintendo was forced into a new gen because of how badly the WiiU went).
So I can play devil's advocate, just because the majority thinks it doesn't make it good or true (look at how much mediocre or shit-tier stuff gets popular e.g. pineapple pen or fidget spinners).
I still think Halo is a pretty decent series, especially the early entries.
