@theOneWhoIsTornApart,
Need I remind you how ffxv development went? Don't forget Square-Enix's track record the past decade, it'll be a miracle if this game comes out and lives up to expectations.
G3NG4R is actually right, Square-Enix scrapped Cyber Connect's 2 years worth of work on the game because it was unusable or so the rumour says. How true it is is a different matter but I wouldn't be surprised if it's mostly true. The leaker did destroy his social media accounts soon after. I personally don't expect it to be at E3 and if it is it won't be in a playable form for sure.
It was ok, flawed, I wouldn't buy it at full price, I got it on a discount.
The closest thing I can think of to twisted metal is carmageddon, and that was a so so experience. We really need 4 player split screen on these games, so hard to find good couch co-op games.
No chill...
Depends on how far along development is, it'd be fine on either console.
I'm pretty confident FF7-remake is so far away that we won't see much for the next year or two concerning it.
Considering all the rumors I've been hearing and all the games I'm expecting in the near future, this really should be a killer E3 this year (we've had mediocre ones for several years now).
Good luck is right, PS exclusives set the bar stupidly high this gen, between them and Nintendo it's a uphill slog for Microsoft.
Well Sony's downfall was last gen... Anyway, I post here alot less because we keep getting the same articles and all I can do is give the same opinions when nothing is changing significantly. I'm just getting bored.
I really wish those games had ended up on Playstation, having said that, there's lots of dreamcast games that I would love ported to the PC or PS4 if possible.
I really can't see how Sony is heading in the same direction, plus the xbox fanboys would prefer the Sony fanboys to keep their weeaboo s**t to themselves. The Playstation this gen just has variety down pat, unlike last gen where they both had mostly shooting games (thank god this gen is so much better).
That and Japanese developers didn't seem to do as well last gen for some reason, they went through a westernization phase for some reason (I partially blame the media for trying to fix what's not broken).
@Skuibbles,
Fair enough, I really did struggle to finish FF12, I blame it on the bad character development, Vann would have to be the blandest FF hero. Plus I just don't remember the plot anymore, it was pretty forgettable, the battle system was a very subjective taste for most people, personally I don't care for MMORPG like battles, but the Gambit system really made it work. The game did have lots of content and world was interesting enough.
I w...
They can't really seem to get it right anymore, 12's issue for me was the characters and writing. They really need to go back and get that down pat for the next game in the series, they got it right in WoFF at least.
I think I read somewhere that they were thinking of re-visiting Ivalice in the near future.
I agree the idea was perfectly sound, the execution was just bad for so many reasons that we already know about. I really do wonder what FFvs13 would have been like if they had finished it.
I really believe they're avoiding working on XVI, partially because of the time/money/effort involved and possibly because Squre-Enix doesn't really know what to do with the series anymore. Look at the weird DLC we're getting for XV, Sims? Really? They actively avoid making towns anymore (look at 13's development interviews and FFXV). If they make a XV-2 I will get out of the series and fanbase so hard.
Now they're going to remake FF7 which fans have be...
Final Fantasy's golden age is over and it finished around X, anything after that is extremely hit and miss for me.
Personally it's become:
F12, awful.
FF13 okay.
FF13-2 better.
FFLR better than 13.
FF14 I like it but don't have the time to devote to it.
WoFF excellent.
FF15 awful.
Persona has toppled FF as my favourite JRP now and I'll be looking forward to Dragon Quest when it...
I actually expected it to be at E3 this year and hopefully playable. The last trailer looked so good.
