a MGS, set in World War 2, featuring a female lead would be pretty awesome.
and she already has an awesome storyline and cast of characters/rogues gallery.
i think Kojima could tell a really emotional story about The Boss, especially since we know how her tale ends in MGS3.
The Boss is probably one of the best MGS characters in the series. her story is so tragic, and it's BECAUSE of her that Big Boss goes down the path that he goes down.

seriously?
i remember last generation, an 8 was still considered a must buy and worthy addition to your game collection.
people treat 8's this gen like they are 2's.
i don't get it.
some of you guys need to grow up and realize that review scores are not fact, just opinion.
if you wanted the game, then by all means, GET IT, but don't let anyone sway you with a few meaningless numbers.
as i said in another post, i re...
i'm disappointed in the visuals of the sequel, because numerous other sandbox games have shown that you can push some rather incredible visuals, and keep game play rock solid and fun, but i'm still going to pick it up.
i wish more games had Split Screen co-op though, because me and my wife would like to play this together. she's bummed that there are no female agents in this one.
i'm really looking forward to this one regardless.
new IPs of this generation was a "worst kept secret?"
yeah, right.
it was a GIVEN that we'd get Gears 2 and Gears 3. the development wasn't kept "secret," because anyone with a working brain knew it was coming.
now, hardware announcements are often kept under-wraps. the PSP Go is a good example of a "worst kept secret," because the lid was blown off of that WAAAY before it's announcement.
people knew Gears 3 was...
the story and characters are compelling.
the plot is surprisingly interesting and engaging, and even though i don't like ALL the characters (Snow grates on me), i find them interesting.
as for the flow of the game itself? i don't have a problem with following a linear path.
i'd understand complaining about it if the environments and locales were bland, but in my opinion, they are beautifully rendered and unique.
you never know where you'll ...
i'd definitely love a Directors Cut.
even though the game itself isn't bursting with content with it being the last in the Kratos trilogy, all those extra videos/documentaries that came with it made me really feel like i got the complete God of War experience.
i haven't even watched all of them (i think i may have 3 vids left), but the hard work and dedication put into making this game is so above and beyond what most developers put into their games, SSM is deserving...
edition of the God of War series, with God of War 1 and 2 remade with the God of War 3 engine, and the cut elements (the Argus fight, the Zeus/Gaia/Kratos fight at the end) implemented into God of War 3.
i think people forget that this is Sony Santa Monica's FIRST Playstation 3 game, and yet they knocked it out of the park.
the God of War 3 that IS, is still better than any other action game on consoles right now.
the God of War 3 that was planned certai...
i think it's a prime example of the sheep mentality that the populace has.
it is "cool" to hate on FFXIII, despite the fact that it is probably the BEST JRPG to release this entire generation (games like Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls aren't traditional JRPGs, so they don't count. lol).
i think the story, narrative structure, and characters are rather fresh and unique for a JRPG. it forgoes a lot of the cliches that riddle most JRPG stories uninteres...
*sigh*
product placement has found its way to gaming?
there is product placement in movies, so why not gaming? it's a rather large entertainment medium these days, and companies are finally realizing that, and attempting to exploit it.
considering that i'm totally, completely, 100% free to, oh, i don't know, NOT BUY the product that is being endorsed by the game/movie/whatever, i don't see what the big deal is.
and this can't be nearly as bad as that one fantas...
we won't be seeing new consoles for a bit.
i don't think any company wants to invest heavily in the R&D necessary to create a new console, only to have that console bomb, not because it sucks, but because the desired market is too poor to purchase it.
i spent $600 on my PS3. i am NOT in a hurry to do that again.
i'd much rather see developers getting intimately familiar with the current consoles, and dedicating their efforts to pushing that as far as...
the NES looked better than the Atari 2600,
which prompted the Sega Master System to look better than the NES and so on and so forth until this current generation.
this isn't the first generation of consoles to have such an emphasis placed on graphics.
Super Mario Bros on the NES was praised because it was practically "Arcade perfect!"
NUMEROUS debates raged on the graphical merits of the SNES and Genesis in relation to one another....
but even in 2007, the PS3 had a pretty solid lineup:
Resistance: Fall of Man
Motorstorm
Virtua Fighter 5
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Warhawk
Heavenly Sword
Folklore
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Unreal Tournament 3
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
that's not a shabby year one lineup at all. considering that games like Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk, Motorstorm, Ratchet, and Uncharted are spoken of highly these...

we're about dead even on both the HD consoles.
out of my 4 closest friends, we've all lost a 360 and a PS3 each.
my 360 had a video card error (the colors would get all jacked up, and then the screen would go black).
my PS3 had an overheat (flashing red light) while my wife was playing Fallout 3.
so far, my 360 and PS3's are behaving themselves, and i haven't had anymore issues with either of them, thankfully.
i REALLY loved Up Your Arsenal and Tools of Destruction.
i think, if i had to put them in order of my favorites to least favorites, it'd be
1) A Crack in Time or Up Your Arsenal (i really can't decide, ACIT has beautiful visuals and refined game play, but UYA is a bigger game, and the weapons are quite fantastic; then again, the weapons are fantastic in ACIT also)
2) Tools of Destruction
3) Going Commando
4) Deadlocked (i LIKE this game. it's not a ...

i think i'll stick to my OWN opinions about NATAL, which are practically non-existent until i get my hands on it.
i'm serious, there are TONS of games that allow you to kill zombies (even Saint's Row 2), but for some reason, i don't feel it's an oversaturated market.
shooters on the other hand, are pushing it beyond it's breaking point, but zombie killing? no.
it's one of the few joys in gaming to take out hordes and hordes of the undead.
does that make me racist?
and sleewok, i believe in God. i believe in Jesus Christ, but i'm not going to downplay and disrespect other people's religious belief.
there is NOTHING that proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that MY faith is "MORE RIGHT" than another faith. do i believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God? yes, i do, but that doesn't mean that i don't believe or respect other holy men like Buddha or Muhammad, and that they were touched by some divine presence. i'm pretty sure it was...
who sees the potential of a MGS starring The Boss.
her whole relationship with the Sorrow was really fascinating stuff, as is her overall story. i'd love to see it develop.
the concept alone (WW2 MGS featuring it's first female protagonist) would be enough to breathe some freshness into the franchise after so many male centric entries. although, i suppose MGS2 actually features the first female MGS protagonist in Raiden...ZING!
