is that the media, in their infinite quest to sensationalize as much as they can, has created a false perception of what a game console should be.
instead of, say, having a nice, fat *CATALOG of good, AAA games to play, they try and reduce it down to "*THIS >insert popular franchise here< is the *SINGLE REASON TO OWN >insert console/handheld here<.
the truth of the matter, is that i don't buy a console because of just *ONE game. or even 2, or 3, ...

i just don't see why people *HATE so much on *EVERYTHING (as a side note, the term "hate" seems to be thrown around a lot these days; i'm a Playstation fan, but i'm not 100% pleased with *EVERYTHING they do, and yet, if i voice that concern, rabid PS3 fanboys will call me a "hater." same applies to when i criticize the 360 or Wii).

Lair was made by a company with a spotty track record (Factor 5)
Uncharted, Warhawk, Ratchet, and Unreal are being made by companies with an *INCREDIBLE track record for making quality games; Naughty Dog, Incog, Insomniac, and Epic games.

it's more in the vein of Ninja Gaiden, minus the controller-flinging frustration.

if anything, i'd think that *SONY themselves would own the rights to the God of War movie, as they have their own film studios (ie, Sony Pictures, Columbia/Tri Star, etc).
the reason why the Halo movie would go Blu Ray only, is because MS doesn't have a motion picture studio of their own, so they license the film out to studios. if Fox actually does have the rights, then, yes, the Halo movie would be Blu Ray exclusive.
of course, by the time either of those films...
i don't see why people feel the need to bash other consoles. there are rational PS3/360/Wii fans, who understand that, eventually, the "competition" may release some games that will make any sort of anti-whatever statements very hypocritical.
