tell me, how many songs can you store on a 2 gig memory stick, flash drive, etc.
quite a few, right?
now tell me, how many *MOVIES can you store on a 2 gig memory stick, flash drive, etc?
durrr, uh, not many. end of story.
as nice as it is to have things conveniently stored on a hard drive, it becomes impractical when the file sizes begin to get so large. HD movies are pretty big. even non-HD, DVD quality movies take up quite a bit of space ...
Square has packed demos of their mega-games like FFVIII, Xenosaga, Parasite Eve, Brave Fencer Musashi, etc with other games to give them boosts also.
i was actually interested in the Last Remnant, so i'd consider this to be a bonus for me.
i also seem to be one of the few people who was actually interested in Zone of the Enders for, you know, ZONE OF THE ENDERS, though i'd be lying if i didn't say that MGS2 demo made ZoE that much sweeter.
they were really struggling to make it seem like it wasn't all exclusive awesomeness for the PS3 this year.
i'd replace Mercenaries with LA Noire, Silent Hill V with Heavy Rain, and Soul Calibur 4 with White Knight Story, then you'd have a list of 10 PS3 exclusives that are certainly worth having. hell, they could have put GT5 on there too. so many exclusives, there's not enough room to put them on a 10 game list. lol.
i found the Wii list disappointing outside of Sm...
releasing a console that is prone to breakdowns due to a push to release a year before the competition, which result in the loss of 1 *BILLION dollars to cover warranty extensions and replacements, and gaining a "lead" that has slowly, but surely been eaten away by the very same competitors they were trying to beat with a rushed launch is gaining a "victory" for MS, then sure. good job.
this guy *REEEEEAAALY had to dig deep for this story.
i mean,...
i've downloaded it now.
i'll give it a go later.
GTAIV.
once that releases, i won't have time for *ANYTHING until Metal Gear Solid 4 hits in the summer.
after that, it's Infamous, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, White Knight Story (even if i have to import it), Resistance 2, and Final Fantasy XIII (again, even if i have to import it).
as long as Haze hits in March, or early, early April, it is still on my list.
i would have *LOVED for it to have released last year, or in January/February of...
a Blu Ray add on,
or a 360 with Blu Ray built it would catapult the price of the unit *PAST the Playstation 3.
there's no way they will be able to release a Blu Ray add on for less than $200, and there's no way a 360 with a built in Blu Ray player will be able to match the $500 80gig PS3, and the $400 40gig PS3, especially considering that by the end of this year, i expect the PS3 to drop to $300-$350.
it's a win/win for Sony no matter what. but 360 fans that w...
lol.
some of you guys are assuming that there *AREN'T Playstation 2 owners waiting for GTAIV to come out before they buy a Playstation 3 (hell, my roommate is a *HUGE Silent Hill fan, and she's waiting for Silent Hill V to come out before she decides on getting a PS3).
some of you guys are assuming that the Playstation 2 owners that don't own Playstation 3's are going to suddenly drop their loyalty of, 10 years or more plus to the Playstation brand so they can get GT...
like any of us would disagree with *ANYTHING Chuck Norris has to say...
but a part of me thinks that Sony, and the Playstation division, as a corporation, needed to go through these past two years.
yes, it was hard on us fans, but i'll get to that in a minute. the Playstation has been the top dog for 11 years. as a result, Sony corporate started to show that c*cky arrogance that Nintendo was known for back when *THEY were the c*ck of the walk for 10 years back in the 80s and early 90s.
Sony had reached a point where they felt that they c...
looking forward to Infamous?
that game has sleeper hit written all over it; it's from an insanely talented and creative developer who, despite releasing a *GREAT series last gen (Sly Cooper), have yet to break into the spotlight.
remember when Sony Santa Monica was that "unknown" developer, then God of War hit, and *BAM! they're on the map in a big way, and instantly one of Sony's AAA development studios.
Insomniac was the same way; they got li...
More 3D nipples.
aaaaand, *WHO are you again?
Cloud belongs to Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy belongs to Square-Enix.
Square-Enix is a third party developer.
considering how entrenched FF is with the Playstation name, *ESPECIALLY Final Fantasy VII, i can see how people would think Cloud was a first party character.
Sony Smash Bros rip, are using a lot of 3rd party characters.
Remember, this game would be *SONY'S franchise, and it would star Sony characters, and maybe a few guest stars from other franchises.
Spyro would be out, because Sony doesn't own the Spyro character anymore. Universal does.
my roster:
"E for Everyone" characters:
1. Ico (from the Ico series)- He would be able to use his sword (the metal one, and the cool mag...
you and me both. it's been a long time since i played Warhawk, and i love the game as is, but this patch sounds *GREAT!
i also believe that Home is just around the corner (at least by April), so that's a bonus too.
we should play some games and try and get our ranks up together (my roommate needs to improve his rank too, since he doesn't play Warhawk much either; he's too busy playing Resistance online).
we don't need any nasty break ups taining the "good" rep of News 4 Gamers...
and i'm disappointed the original team isn't working on the game, but i'm a Silent Hill whore, so i'm getting this game anyway.
as for the series "going downhill," i don't think that's entirely true.
naturally, Silent Hill one was great.
Silent Hill 2 was also great, but it wasn't until about the third time i played through the game that truly realized it's greatness.
i loved Silent Hill 3 also. i thought it was scary, it had great...
i also believe that the 17 million aren't all new users, but multiple people buying a second, third, and sometimes even *FOURTH 360, but for the sake of my post above, i addressed it as though they *WERE unique users, and not repeats.
last year had Accomplishments.
Resistance, Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank Future, and Uncharted also have their own version of "achievements." Ratchet and Clank have been doing "Skill Points" since the beginning of that series.
it's not anything new to Playstation, but new in such a large scale.
personally, i don't *LIKE achievements. i just don't see the point. i'm 28 years old, i don't *CARE about bragging to my friends that i got 10,00...
