unfortunately, you guy's comments were deleted by the mod before i could read them, but i ask you this:

did i *SAY that i *DIDN'T like the picture?

no, actually. i said Mario looks like a creepy pedophile, and judging by the responses of my fellow gamers, i'm not alone in that assessment.

on the artistic side, however, i think it's a *GREAT piece of artwork, and i'm looking forward to the Homer Simpson version the artist claims he's doing.

but Sony is not without plenty of RPG's coming.

remember, the RPG genre is a complicated one, and they tend to take the longest to make, especially when they are homegrown in Japan, as they have to go through localization before they are released here (i used to be a localization tester for Square-Enix about two or three years back).

Folklore is a nice little year one RPG with great atmosphere, music, and art design, as well as fun gameplay.

i think i'll stick with Ratchet and Clank, they are ultimately less creepy and pedophilic...

Free Radical + FPS = GOOD TIMES

everybody is crapping all over Haze, but it's developers know what they are doing when it comes to two things; FPSes, and STORY. mix the two together, and you have the makings of some fun gaming sessions.

me and my roommate had a ball playing Timesplitters: Future Perfect Co-op.

i trust Free Radical, and thankfully for them, Haze doesn't release when games i'm excited for more come out (GTAIV is in April, MGS4 is in June,...

last generation, half a million was considered "Greatest Hits" worthy.

i don't understand how half a million sold is a *BAD thing these days.

i highly doubt that Warhawk cost $100 million dollars to make, but even so, 500,000 people have Warhawk. that's *GREAT! more people for me to play with, really.

it's been a while since i played (maybe a month ago), but when i'm not so busy, i'll try and get back into it. i was never into online gaming unt...

i'm sorry, but the only thing i could think of while reading this story is that this is Second Life's attempt to revalidate itself in the looming shadow of Playstation Home. lol.

my actual opinion on the story is that this is pretty fascinating stuff. and absolutely frightening.

sciences attempts to constantly emulate science fiction are going to be our undoing? unless their efforts result in Anime-esque she robots that, for some inexplicable reason, can't help but f...

what screenshots *AREN'T photoshopped these days?

in either case, i didn't see anything in these screenshots that are out of the realm of possibility on the PS3.

there are *ALREADY games on store shelves that look better than Haze, and plenty that are on the way.

i only know a few things about Haze:

1. It's made by Free Radical, a developer with a more than solid pedigree for making good games (Goldeneye N64, Perfect Dark N64, Timesplitters ...

towards Haze.

i mean, if Haze, looking the way it is, was being made by, i don't know BUNGIE, or Insomniac, many of you would be going gaga over it.

why? simple, really.

because Bungie and Insomniac are a developer noted for quality games.

the sad thing, is that Free Radical is *ALSO known for making, or having a hand in some of the best FPS games out there;

Goldeneye on the N64
Perfect Dark on the N64

i mean, i know 8 years may seem like a long time to some of you folks, but i remember when DVD players were going for as much as $600, and DVDs were well in the $30 a movie range, with *NO SPECIAL FEATURES (i own a few of those early DVDs, actually).

even though DVD had *NO competition, the prices eventually came down, but they didn't come down overnight.

remember, there was *NO COMPETITION when DVD was released.

just because Microsoft paid for it to be exclusive for 2007 doesn't mean it's going to be exclusive for all time.

the truth of the matter is that the Playstation 3's install base wasn't very large around the time Bioshock came out, due to it only being on the market for about 10 months (7 or 8 if you count the UK launch as a separate entity).

bottom line, is that MICROSOFT DOES NOT OWN BIOSHOCK, meaning 2K is free to do with the franchise what they choose to do. if t...

why *WOULDN'T Bioshock 2 come to the Playstation 3?

i mean, what's keeping the game from hitting "the other" console?

does Microsoft own the IP to Bioshock? no, they don't (2K owns the Bioshock IP).

did Microsoft publish Bioshock? no, they didn't (2K published the game).

the only reason why Bioshock was on the PC and 360 only, is because the Playstation 3 was still new, dev kits weren't final, and the machine is a b*tch to develop ...

that the PS3 will actually *LAST three years, where the 360 is lucky to last over 1 year.

i have a 360; i bought it from my roommate for $150; but i'm always paranoid about turning it on and playing it. i only own four games for it (Mass Effect, Crackdown, Condemned, and Bioshock).

i'm more confident in buying games for my PS3, because at least i know i'll be able to *PLAY them when they come out; my roommate was *DYING to play Mass Effect. he bought it day one, and ...

i can walk to the Best Buy down the street and buy, at *LEAST, two or three Elites and Premiums.

and i live in Los Angeles California, which has a population of *MILLIONS.

there are no supply issues. not enough to warrant anything like Microsoft is trying to push. my roommate is a manager at Gamestop, and he tells me that they also have Premiums and Elites in stock. if anything is selling out on a regular basis, it's the Wii.

and i'm *NOT into first person shooters or online gaming.

the majority of my gaming time is spent on single player games.

when it comes to online, the most i play is Warhawk, and that's only for about an hour or so, then i need a rest.

i just love single player, character driven stories, like Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Bioshock, and Metal Gear Solid 4, to name only a few single player games.

i was one of the few people that bought Oni on day one for my PS2 back in the day, and the game, while full of potential, was hampered by a ludicrous control scheme.

you used the shoulder buttons to jump, the aiming was imprecise, and pulling off combos was just damn impossible. it's funny that you mention Oni, because i was just telling my roommate about that game two days ago.

the premise was cool, the main character was ripped straight from Motoko Kusanagi from G...

the haters who have never touched a PS3 are the only folks who have been touting a games superiority to the PS3 version due to Achievements, when PS3 fans have been enjoying the feature in certain games already.

i didn't say i've never *SEEN the endings of GTA games, just that i've never *BEAT the GTA games outside of the third (i've seen my friends beat Vice City, and i'm going to beat San Andreas myself, hopefully before GTAIV hits).

i don't see what's to argue about. LOTS of people are going to buy GTA on the PS3 because of nostalgia, or "tradition." some *WON'T.
