what features has Sony taken out of their various PS3 SKUs that would affect the playing of a *PLAYSTATION 3 game?
the Playstation 2 chips in the PS3 have *NOTHING, absolutely *NOTHING to do with the functionality of a Playstation 3 game.
the memory stick readers have absolutely *NOTHING to do with the functionality of a Playstation 3 game.
both are simply added features for those that want, or like them.

it's an opportunity for me to express my opinion on gaming freely, and as you can see, i have a *LOT to say about gaming (considering that i've worked in the gaming industry for over 3 years, it shouldn't be surprising that i have so much to say).

i think that Microsoft could be an *EXCELLENT contender to Sony, and they've done pretty good so far, but Sony had, honestly *NO COMPETITION during the PS1 and PS2 eras, especially once the original Playstation got going.

but i think the problem with Microsoft's X Box 360 is that it's *MICROSOFT'S X Box 360.
what i mean, is simply that a *LOT of people *HATE Microsoft, the corporation with a passion. they don't trust the brand (as evidenced by numerous polls and reports where MS is quite low on the "brand trust" list.
i think if it was any other company producing the X Box consoles (with the same level of titles and services), it would be more widely accepted.

the X Box 360 fanboys had a hard day, what with all the great PS3 news hitting N4G throughout the day, and they had to dredge up a story about a game, from what i can tell from the latest gameplay videos, isn't really looking very interesting ( i was *PUMPED about Dark Sector until i saw the gameplay videos, then it dropped down to a "meh." if the story is excellent, then i'll give it shot) in order to re-inflate their frail egos. by the way...
with you saying you don't think the PS3 is most supreme super-computer out there, as i don't think it is, personally.
but i'm willing to give the console the benefit of the doubt based off of what we've seen in it's *FIRST YEAR (in particular, the last 5 months of it's first year).

about two weeks ago, i showed my roommate that video, because he never even *HEARD of Eight Days, and he's a huge Playstation 3 fan.
this E3 is promising to just be *GIGANTIC for Sony this year. maybe they'll offload a few things to their Gamers Day in a few weeks, but save some of the "megatons" for E3.
