License to print money. Fun games though so I'm not surprised.
I don't buy them anymore personally for the same reason I don't buy sports games every year - it's more or less the same game.
MGS4 revisited Shadow Moses perfectly, I'll probably never have that feeling playing any another game again.
RIP MGS
'Drive like a madman'... lifted straight from Driver 1 :D
This game looks pretty great. Loved the first two.
Yay, sounds like fun. I'm going to purchase something to increase my levels of fun. Hopefully they make me wait for it to unlock once purchased to add more value.
I used to hate when options were given to you right out of the box in games. Remember how rubbish cheat codes were? Or how totally lame just being given character or gun customization was? No fun at all.
I agree with you, and would be interested in hearing why you think child porn should be regulated whereas something like, violent racism shouldn't? Where is the justification a part from societal standards or personal viewpoint? I find this hard to get right in my mind, in that really it is no different to what you're arguing against.
Interestingly, Ground Zeroes has audio of child porn and abuse in it with Chico and Paz. Was this acceptable?

So you agree it is unfinished, only it was deliberate. Thanks. Exactly why there is a negative in my review.
Remember liquid also had that strain of the vocal cord virus with him as well - a massive part of the main story left hanging. What happened to it? Why would Big Boss, Miller and Ocelot be reckless enough to leave it in the hands of an angry child? It's widely accepted that this ending was cut so I don't know why you are defending it.
Do you th...
That's not a great example considering that was meant to be a mystery of previous events and alludes to the virgin birth of jesus. What we're talking about is an incomplete story arc.
Why did they bother rendering some of the mission 51 cutscenes and put it on disc? If it got to that stage it was pretty far along. It was obviously only deliberate if they plan on releasing the ending via DLC - What will you're response be if this does happen?

The storyline involving Liquid Snake. He takes off with Sehalanthropus and no more is said of it. There was meant to be a mission 51 which dealt with this but it was cut from the final release. You can check youtube for the scenes.
There was also meant to be a whole Chapter 3 apparently. It is clear the game was not Kojima's finished vision.
TPP is gameplay focused at the expense of story which is clearly a problem, especially for a Metal Gear game. Prev...
Not a bad article but I strongly disagree with your interpretation of a video game. The experience is exactly what matters most... That isn't to say that story is the be all and end all, rather, it is the creators choice of balance between gameplay, story and every other element that makes a game.
For example, MGSV has better, more varied gameplay than The Last of Us, but the lackluster and repetitive missions you are asked to complete mean the game experience greatly su...
Whoops, yeah this was meant to be a Phantom Pain review. I can't change it by editing though so it would be great if a mod could transfer this review over to The Phantom Pain on PS4 if possible. Thanks.
It's really interesting that you cite MGSV as an example of why you love gaming... for me it displays some of the worst parts of modern gaming. A big issue for me was the repetitive nature of the missions, an open world which negatively extends play time and a weak story. I can see you by your choice of games you enjoy these longer RPG experiences. For me, their length is a generally a negative but it depends on the experience. Mass Effect 2 got it spot on for me in that travel dead time ...
@UltraNova
Of course you might not even notice you hit disagree. Also, you might assume people would just ignore it.
Honestly, there's no point in being upset by a disagree like this. It was either a mistake, a troll or a psycho - all of which are worth nothing of your time since you can't distinguish between them nor do anything about it.
It's good that you're concerned about that, especially important in real life... but in this inst...
I bet you many people said that about portable gaming (possibly for similar reasons of it being anti-social)... and if Nintendo had listened to them you wouldn't have experienced Zelda on the gameboy.
It's good these companies are trying VR. I think it's great but I've only seen a demo on a Rift, not played an actual game. Outwith gaming it has massive potential also.
With the backing it's getting and from my short time trying VR I think it will do...
Exactly, time will tell whether VR is a gimmick or not. I think it will be great but if not, the industry should learn from this, work out why it went wrong and continue to evolve and try new things. Gaming would get boring if everyone played it safe.
I find it very interesting how big the sales gap is considering the gap in technical quality is no where near this and exclusives should come down to personal opinion and game loyalty.
It seems like that initial impression MS gave Xbox One made it an uphill battle and destroyed their chances of being market leader. If they had marketed it as a stronger 360 and sold it without Kinect it is likely that sales would be far closer and in the US the Xbox would have outsold Playstat...
@UltraNova
And what if someone misclicked and hit disagree by accident? Ban them too...
This is actually a nice analogy to the death penalty in that you can never be 100% sure who the guilty person is. Then there are circumstances which may have meant the person was not in sound mind when the murder was committed. Also, there is no evidence that the death penalty deters crime, or rather there is no agreed conclusion that it either increases, decreases or does nothing to murder...
The reason I support this is because I know for certain Sony will repay me in real hard cash. You gotta give a little to get something in return. We owe Sony that much.
well that's a spoiler
That's an interesting idea. Could work really well. The name would definitely have to change though. Even if it was just Link - Linkle is a rubbish name.
Tbf though I'm not invested in the lore since the original is the last Zelda game I played so not sure how fans would feel about this. I feel fans would prefer Zelda as the main character over a rip-off link.
I would describe it more as a sleeper hit! Great, fun game.
