I'm all for modders opening up PSVR to PC if Sony doesn't. Once you have bought the HW I see no moral argument against doing with it what you wish (obviously as long as you don't harm anyone).

Even if someone makes money by selling a custom made driver, I see it as only sligtly less moral than sharing it freely (both are morally fine though). Perhaps legal issues could arise, but legality does not always correlate with morality.

Forgot about Sniper Wolf too, she was fantastic. Really want to play MGS1 now! Also Meryl, pretty great support character with a cool back story link and overall development. Fortune also, far more badass than Quiet.

How could someone chose Quiet over any of these!? Even E.E would have been a better choice lol

She should be at the top of the list of greatest video game character ever! Multi-dimensional and integral to the MGS saga.

Quiet being ranked higher is laughable. Eva and The Boss were far better characters. Quiet was literally a mute the entire game. Her voice actor and Keifer were paid by the syllable.

Did people honestly think this game wasn't repetitive? How can you reconcile this with the fact that chapter 2 literally repeats the same missions? (Incidentally proving that these missions were totally irrelevant to the story) Or that side objectives have about 6 different variations, each numbered 1-6... does anyone *honestly* think this is good game design and want more of this in their games!?

When I look about at the 60+ hours I spent on the game, only a few hours we...

Big Boss is in the game though, it would have made a lot more sense to have two different voice actors for two different people.

Hayter should have been used in the reveal, I think he may have understood why the story would have been that way and therefore been okay with only playing a small role at the end. I think the reveal would have been far more enjoyable had it been Hayter. I would have looked back at the entire game more favourably if that was the case, that's for...

Well it was repetitive... Surely you pointing this out shows that you agree on some level or you understand why others would have found it repetitive?

I make a distinction between the game mechanics and the overall gameplay. The mechanics were great, what they had you do with these mechanics was repetitive, disjointed and lacked depth.

Not good enough for my once favourite series. The only redemption from my perspective is how it ties together the events of t...

I think the writing has more to do with it than the voice actors respective performances. Ocelot was definitely not himself, but that is down to the director and writing. If that is not how they wanted the character they should have had the voice actor portray it as they wanted. It's not like Troy Baker or Keifer Sutherland are bad actors/voice actors...

It seems like Kojima did not like the performance of Hayter which is very surprising to me because imo he is just as i...

Exactly, resolution is really not important if a game looks good and more importantly plays well. If console gamers really cared about resolution they wouldn't be console gamers...

Quibling over differences in resolution between the two is like beating a dead horse. Everyone knows the PS4 is slightly more powerful than the Xbox One.. who cares?

I wish this site was more positive. E.g. focusing on the title possibly coming to Xbox one so more people can pl...

I hate listing so I won't but I will only point out that you missed a lot of PS4 games. Could have missed some Xbox games as well though but I think making comments like this could undermine any balance you are presenting. Could have been an accident but I have noticed you seem to make statements quite a lot which back up this possible bias.

I've just noticed you haven't been receptive to VR and I struggle to understand why a gamer and someone in...

Lol, cheers for responding. I thought you'd done a runner!

Perhaps a better example would be moving your mouse to a new more powerful machine, there might be driver or firmware issues which need to be updated but in general the mouse should work just as well as on the orignial machine.

Of course Move will need SW updates and continual improvement to make life easier for developers. The argument made by the author was to scrap the hardware though which doe...

Hearthstone in VR lol Good for concentration.
This looks amazing. I wish I had the money for a PC and VR headset, may be time to start saving.

I can see a time where VR junkies retreat into the virtual world. It will be interesting to see how society and government reacts to this technology in the future. When it becomes rewarding and fulfilling living in a virtual world, some people will surely favour it over real life. Ready Player One style.

Emulation is fine and legal. Downloading ROMs is when legal issues arise. As others have said you can rip the contents of the disk you have bought and emulate it on PC, nothing illegal or immoral with that.
It's similar to torrent file sharing in that the method of sharing is legal, but it is the content that is generally shared that brings up legal and moral issues.

For Wii U, downloading games is morally iffy to me but for games that are >15-20 years old the...

Exactly, it may affect sales of PS4 if they allow, and it will certainly affect their reputation with consumers and in turn most likely sales if they block.

From a business standpoint it depends which one will lose them more. From a consumer standpoint they have to allow it. Surely the correct decision overall is therefore to allow it. Hope so anyway.

Rocket League is my game of the generation so far out of those I've played. I haven't played The Witcher 3 yet, or Bloodborne though... I have played MGSV, Shadow of Mordor, Destiny, Wolfenstein and a few others that I can't even remember. Rocket League is more fun than them all.

Does that also mean former Motorstorm devs? How great would the Motorstorm series be in VR!! Those jumps and that sense of speed, wow!

Would be great to see something like that from these guys.

I think you're right, it's pretty obvious that when PC hardware continues to improve, Rift and Vive will get better. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't periodically improve the headset either.

PSVR will probably remain pretty stationary for a while.

I still think Rift and Vive need PSVR to succeed to have a wider variety of games getting ported to them. If only 1-2 million people have Rifts and Vives, developers may be reluctant to invest t...

There has to be a balance though, selling at a loss or pricing too high could both potentially kill VR. Rift and Vive seem like reasonable prices to me.

Chess? Any game that involves skill, is fun and is competitive e.g. Rocket League.

If you're game is good enough, people will still be playing it in 10 years and it will not be described as repetitive. There is good repetitive and bad repetitive.

If you're game has the mechanic of holding down L2 and R2 at bullet sponge enemies, something may be wrong with the design. It may not hold up after 20 hours never mind 10 years. This is not an attack on The ...

A lot of gamers enjoy grinding and repetitive gameplay. You have to be careful who you listen to. I would find reviewers/friends you generally agree with and give their opinions more personal value than others.

I used to think Angry Joe aligned with me, but his ridiculously high review score for MGSV has me doubting this. In general though, he seems to be pretty fair with games since he uses the entire scoring scale, doesn't let publishers away with anti-consumer business...
