I'll preface my comment with if Uncharted doesn't become Sony's best selling Sony published game for PS4 it will be a bit of a failure in terms of sales.
If we dissect what is said here, the caveats that are put in place reduce the games down to Sunset Overdrive, Screamride, Ori, Ryse probably a few others. I'd be surprised if a few weeks sales has surpassed the lifetime sales of these other games so we must be talking about selling rate here not total sales. ...
The PS4 and XbOne haven't sold to the casual market yet!!!?? Are you crazy? They released in 2013!
Casuals buy the console immediately so they can continue playing CoD and Fifa ad infinitum. These games are aimed at the casual crowd. That's why they don't change much, are easy to play, are great pick up and play fun and can be found next to every kids PS4 or Xbox One. CoD is the definitive casual game.
I wrote a review on here, gave it a 7.0 (kind of regret not going lower tbh because I found it lacking in a lot of ways).
I thought the game mechanics (controls and movement) were great, best of the series, but what they had you do with the mechanics was so tedious and uninspired I felt the game suffered for it. Little variety and repetition of missions are bad game design to me. The boss battles were poor compared to previous games also.
All that travel time...
When was this quote? Because people will have stripped a part all the data of the game in search for it and not found it. It's how the removed chapter 3 and cutscenes were discovered. Maybe it's only for people who have them both downloaded, rather than via disc. Maybe that would be possible. Most likely it was just cut.
I think that may have been the plan at some point but it was cut at a late stage (much like a lot of other content) leading to a hobbled together fin...
I honestly enjoyed this advert more than MGSV, no joke.
If you look into the numbers it might not be that impressive. Even the best selling boxed game for the week might not mean much if there was no other competition. But, I'm not bothered about the interpretation of numbers - I'm just happy that a SP experience can still bring in good sales figures.
Get rid of that 'open world is better' nonsense.
Quantum Break looks great, my kind of game (minus the live action cutscenes) but I wouldn't buy a console for it. I was a bit disappointed when I got a PS3 with cod4 and uncharted and completed them in two days. Both brilliant games, arguably better at the time than quantum break. Consoles are only worth it when there's multiple games you want to play for it.
@Donkey
I think he's using the latin word 'cum'. Dirty mind :P

Yeah I thought that was strange too... he could have inflated the score to give VR a push? I don't really have a problem with that tbh... maybe the new experience, potential and fun massively outweighs the negatives he mentions.
Harsh. Telling him to be thankful for his 15 minutes of fame implies you don't think he was worthy of the role, even though you agree he was better than Sutherland...
Of course it didn't break MGSV for anyone, Snake had zero lines of dialogue lol bloody hell, I could have voiced Snake and taken the hundreds of thousands of dollars for the privilege haha what a waste of resources.
MGS was never Hayter's only source of income or creative endeavour s...
Lol, I really don't think he wanted to make another MGS game. He probably had very little to do with it at all tbh. At least I can't see how he could have because the game was so vapid it surely could not have been driven by Kojima! How could you make such good games previously and then leave us with MGSV, doesn't make sense unless he was just not interested in the slightest.
I think he came up with the overarching story and that's it, because that is the only...
I'm not interested in playing another Telltale Games game. As soon as you realise the choices you make don't really matter due to being unable to develop such a branching structure it kind of becomes meaningless. The whole premise of the game is sold on that but it seems to be just a facade covering a subpar story experience with uninteresting characters.
I agree. I don't have an Xbox one or PC powerful enough to play it but it seems like my kind of game so I hope it does well so publishers aren't afraid of doing a linear action game. Only thing I'm not sure about is the live action episodes. Would prefer in game and not 20 minutes long.
Hope it does well though to show publishers there is an alternative to monotonous open world games.
@FunAndGun
I agree with you. I would definitely reconsider if online play was free though.
PS+ was far better in the past and I would much prefer to have a wider selection of games from different sized developers, rather than always getting indie games. I would like to see more variety in the games we get in terms of developer size because they do make different types of experiences purely down to the amount of money/man-hours spent on development. I've played gre...
Yep, it's definitely not as good now. They have no insentive to provide great value to get people to join since it is required for online play. They are getting by on the bare minimum now. Dirty business tactics imo.
Not that all the games have been terrible. Rocket League and Grim Fandango have almost made the subscription worthwhile already. I agree with the writer though, I would like to see more AAA games e.g. Killzone and Knack hit PS+.
haha poor Sean Bean :(
Typecast as a dead man.
I've always wanted a GTA Glasgow. The weather system would be easy to implement.
I think Rockstar could do a brilliant cultural satire of the UK and fans of the series would enjoy it just as much. It would be slightly different but definitely not unenjoyably or hard to 'get'.
Price?
Not wanting to buy two different headset for two different machines?
Preference of PSVR comfort over Rift or Vive?
These are the ones I could think of. Price probably isn't a big factor if you can afford a PC that runs them though. Not sure how big the comfort difference is but could be a big selling point for some.
Second point only applies to those with PS4s and PCs. Definitely a few reasons though why people would chose PSVR over Rift an...
Wow. The moment when you start to write a response and then delete it because you know there's no point...
