A lot of the times when you are by yourself it is because you have just been separated with your partner and are trying to meet back up with them. That other character doesn't just stop existing.
This would be a great way for branching paths within coop where you are both by yourself experiencing different things before meeting back up again later.

I disliked the story in this game too. It actually felt like there wasn't enough "filler" missions to get to know characters. Franklin, even though he was my favourite character, had pretty much no reason to be in the game. There weren't enough smaller missions to introduce his background and create a meaningful relationship between him and Michael instead of the superficial one presented.

I would say most of the popular games right now (FPS, TPS) have you're thumbs on the left and right analog sticks over 90% of the time. In most 3D games you'll be controlling your player and camera positions.
I can't really comment on how good the staggered controllers are to use but it seems to me that people who say the left analog stick is better up there should also say the right analog stick is in the wrong position and should be up there too...

Yeh I think the mental one (can't remember his name?) of the 3 could easily have been written as a woman, with probably no change to the story, like Catalina from San Andreas and III. She was a crazy and memorable GTA character that would have been great to play as.
Problems then arise when people criticize the game for being sexist as the only playable female is mental...lol you just can't win. But really they all could have changed sex with only small story changes...

Definitely needed. It was so close to being a handheld that could handle any console game perfecty. Those buttons are used all the time in almost every modern action game and their functions don't translate well enough onto touchscreen. Touchscreen kind of sucks for every device tbh, feels inaccurate and slow on every device I've used.
I would sell my current Vita model if a new version was announced, with L2/R2 and Ls/R3 buttons - also needs a more ergonomic design ...
