I kind of think Adam Sesslers enjoys the hate he gets. This can be seen in his I:SS review at the 6:37 mark. He includes this line of dialogue "Looks like the haters are getting ready for their big parade". This is placed in his review after a deluge of negative comments and is unrelated to the points he is actually making.
It is important to note that this section of gameplay must be near the start of the game due to the Sony embargo so when Sessler was playing thr...
Nah, too expensive for me. The original would still be great and probably has mods to make it widescreen and other improvements.
£10 would be a fair price in my eyes since most of the development work has already been done.
It could be the gameplay is really good but the story is generic or just rubbish... I think we've all played and completed games like that.
DMC could be an example of that. Story is very generic with kind of annoying and overdone characters. You could probably skip those cutscenes and still have a pretty good idea of what is going on. Gameplay is amazing as well so you'd want to skip the rubbish and get on with the fun.
This is an awesome announcement! AoEII is one of my favourite games ever and I never got a chance to play AoM. I wish Microsoft Studios would have kept the series up rather than releasing AoE online.
AoEIII was a bit of a let down for me too, didn't like the setting as much. In fact most games that go American Revolution are a bit rubbish to me... AoE, Total War, Assassins Creed. Gimme more Medieval stuff please :)
I'll be getting this if it's pri...
I think you're analogy falls over because people are not even willing to try the new recipe. When they hear the restaurant is thinking about changing to white beans there's an outcry that "white beans are wrong". Even though the new beans will only slightly change the taste of the overall dish, the customers have been brought up in a society where white beans are not acceptable beans.
It's funny how people think even suggesting that there should be more...
dd/mm/yy definitely makes more sense. Smallest to largest. Plus, the day is usually what your really interested in when you ask for the date, because you probably already know what month it is and hopefully you know the year. Makes sense to be told the important information first.
lol "modern day synergic phenomenon"
This is the kind of trolling I enjoy the most :D
I love how he says he respects Kojima for "giving people a taste of the Phantom Pain". This decision most likely had nothing to do with Kojima. It's clearly a publishers decision to fund development for the full game. When has Kojima ever wanted to split up and charge for the prologue of his games?
He seems a bit blinded by his love of MGS.
Short play time isn't a problem, and in fact I would actually prefer it for some games. But it has to be priced accordingly. £10 would be a good price for the game on release.
MGS is not looking good for the future. Binning Hayter is a massive kick in the teeth to fans of the game, and costly episodes won't gain Konami or Kojima must respect. Even though MGS is my favourite gaming series, I can't support what they are doing - I'd rather wait or buy used....
@Death
You can't keep making this same point without acknowledging the replies with a comment.
The likelihood is that Sony and publishers are making money on Plus, indicated by the continued support of new and highly rated titles and no change in the pricing of Plus.
Citing Sony losing money overall last gen is meaningless when discussing the financial impact of PS+ since Plus was such a late addition to the console, had a slow uptake and had initial infra...
Agree. A subscription service is not great for last generation games. Considering how much I revisit old games, I'm cool with just keeping the hardware. Local play will always be slightly more responsive with consistent graphics and framerate making it the definitive way to play.
There definitely is a market for PS Now though. For example, if my ps3 died on me and I really wanted to play an old game it may be worth getting PS Now rather than another console. Or if I never...
What data could it cache though? The game is running on a remote ps3 with input being uploaded and video being downloaded. Unfortunately for most, this interactive nature means performance can only be gained from a better connection to the server.
I think price will be a big factor in determining if PS Now is right for me. In theory being able to play almost all ps3 games at any time on any device sounds great, but how often do you really go back to games from previous genera...
It's not free though, it's included in the price of the subscription. Sony are clearly making money on their PS+ offerings, because the quality titles keep coming and they've been offering them for long enough now to work out if it is a profit or loss.
Sony, along with the publishers of the games releasing on PS+ will be watching the software sales trends to determine if the model is working. I think publishers are okay with offering their game for Plus when sale...
Anyone want to link to me sales numbers that show ps3 outselling 360 in the US?
I know this is a small point but you can't agree with @combatcash because his first statement is false. And that statement is a precursor to his argument.
"The ps3 outsold the 360 in the U.S and the 360 had a year start" is a lie or display of ignorance. Either way it's false.
Even comparing selling rates the 360 sold faster than the ps3 in the U...
You're right, I've only ever seen "sells" instead of "sales" on n4g! And it's a lot of people on here too.
Almost as annoying as "worse" instead of "worst".
How hard is it to get these things correct?
Edit: Geezo, comment right below (Jay70sgamer) starts off with the exact same issue. Clearly an English speaker and possibly in his 40s judging by his name...
This has to stop...
@combatcash
PS3 was no where near to 360 sales in the US. It was the rest of the world that made up the most of the ps3 sales.
Definitely won't have to buy them again. That would be so stupid of Sony! The real question is will you be able to pop in ps1/2 discs and play. That's the way it should be done.
TLOU couldn't be further from disappointing! Brilliant game.
After multiple playthroughs, the AI for human enemies is slightly lacking though. They have an incredibly small field of view that can be easily exploited and are deaf to their allies being strangled iirc. On the other hand, I wouldn't enjoy playing a stealth game where the enemies senses were realistic. Would be too hard.
I don't think you can complain that your ally doesn't give aw...
As long as they don't plaster the game icon on the UI to try and get you to play. That really pisses me off on PS3.
Yeh the multiplayer is great, very tense and rewarding! Could do with some more game modes and maps but still a fun and unique experience.
I wonder how much effort it takes to port a game built for PS3 to PS4 with the different architectures? I guess the more powerful hardware helps to reduce the amount of optimization required. Will be interesting to see what, if any, content, fps and graphic additions are made.
