That's why the Wii might not have the long legs that it wants this gen. You said it yourself. The PS2 is a casual gaming console. It has been for years now. That wasn't always the case though. The PS3 and 360 will fall into price ranges that the casual gamer will want in the next couple of year. Then the Wii will have competition for its casual gaming audience.
Both the 360 and the PS3 have titles geared towards the casual gamer. Rock band, Guitar Hero, Singstar, R&C, Banjo,...
It was at least in the teens and into the 20's of hours. It was great the whole way through. As long as a game is fun, I don't think anyone cares how long it is.

The PS3 outsold the 360 for January and February. It think it was a virtual tie in March though. I don't know if April's numbers have been released yet. Still ... all the consoles seem to be doing well. Good times for everyone.

I don't know if it was pushed to 09' for sure. I'm assuming it was though since we've seen jack and sh1t about the game since last year. Not even a mention at Sony Gamers Day. TGS is sort of far off to be showing it for an 08' release as well. Who knows though.

What exclusive game is going to sell more then Gears? MGS4 will sell well but it's going to be hard pressed to sell like Gears will.

There's other games though too. 8 days, White Knight Story, Wardeveil, LA Noir, Infamous etc etc. 2009 looks to have plenty of high caliber games coming.
I don't think they would want to release this too close together though. GOW3 just has too big of a fan base to mess with. KZ isn't as established.

I like some of the younger platformers. I had a lot of fun with R&C. Considering my GF actually played with me, that made it even more fun. I would actually be rather jealous of this game if LBP wasn't right around the corner.
been a bigger fan of FPS and their online experience more so then TPS. So ... right there, that does it for me.
I do agree that BOTH games look fantastic. I think KZ2 edges out Gears, but that's not saying Gears is bad. Actually ... I'm surprised KZ2 looks as good as it does. To beat out Gear visually is a rather impressive feat.
