for MGS4 from them? When are they going to review the game. The 1up poster at GAF made it sound like they've already played the game twice over.

Eurogamer's review is something to go by when deciding about MGS4 ... I don't think they're paid off though. Some of you guys need to get a grip. They just gave NGII, MS's large summer exclusive, a 7/10.
If anything, this should be looked at as a reason to think Eurogamer's reviews are generally crap for all consoles.
Now ... back to the rest of the 9's and 10's for MGS4 ... whoo!

I love metal gear. I want it to get all high 10's and crap too. I still understand why the guy says this though. He's writing to a Spanish group of people(we had to translate the thing). He apparently thinks that having to read subtitles in a game so driven by story is a pain. He also thinks this is relevant to the Spanish speaking people he's writing this too. It's not like a 9 is bad anyway. Plus ... this is a pretty no name site.
Well ... your #'s are off but, I do agree that overtaking the 360 will be no easy task.
I don't think they'll get rid of it altogether. People like playing a game (including myself). I just see the need for a lot more games to come up with some sort of multiplayer functions in the next gen or so to stay successful.
this stuff should have been here LONG ago. Does that detract from the news of it actually coming? I don't think so. So it took a little time for it to come. I'm still getting it and, I'm still getting if for free.
My only question to you is, when you getting your PS3 man? The whole lack of games thing is out, the network is shaping up, BD won, the price is reasonable. When are you guys actually going to acknowledge the PS3 as a viable gaming machine?

confirmed by some reliable sources on GAF as well. No date or specifics were talked about though. Only that xmb access of some sort, along with "other features" will come with 2.4.
if they did delay the game because rumors were true and it just wasn't fun, I don't see how that's a bad thing. I'm not a Splinter Cell fan, but if I was, I would want them to get it right.
what he says makes sense for specific genre's. Games without multilayer aren't rated as high as games with multilayer. A lot of these games are shooter types. Bioshock and Uncharted come to mind as being criticized for not having multilayer.
Now ... it's a standard that racing games come with online. Gran Turismo is trying to figure out damage/penalty systems so that their online is balanced and they don't get left behind as the industry leader.
