I do know someone with a PS3 for BD movies and they don't game. This person is young though and is rather tech savy though. So while I would agree that Grandma might not want to deal with frimware, someone younger would have no problem with that.
Either way, it was projected that the PS3 would carry BD sales for some time until the standalone players drop in price. Meanwhile the software is selling just fine.

is that valve has already stated they had problems working with the PS3 before. Going this route makes them look incapable and lazy. Its not a bad decision on their part though. They will still sell games and be able to make better ones without the PS3.
Personally ... I don't really care too much. There's plenty coming out this year to keep me happy.

Every time I see something about it, I get super excited. I hope it does a good job of not only capturing the more hardcore gamer's heart, but also the casual's as well.

I've never payed full price for a BD movie. I buy all moves off of amazon. I just paied 18 bucks to get "I am Legend".
NEVER EVER EVER buy a bd movie from a retail store unless they have deals going on.

the markets may become more "polarized" but, there's always going to be people who want better, bigger and more beautiful games to play.

This is the same trick the HD-DVD camp tried to play when they were fighting it out. Meanwhile movie sales are up. Go figure.

actually it is significant. 2400 people in a poll would be more then enough to statistically be accurate for an entire population.
However, this poll isn't Random. It isn't controlled either. There's no way to guarantee someone didn't vote 3-4 times. There's no way of knowing what console someone owns.
2400 people is about the only thing significant in the poll.
I would have to agree with you Sonarus. I don't think GTA should be getting all the 10's its been getting. It's a great game on a lot of different fronts, but not perfect.
I think MGS will be great. Probably my GOTY. I don't see how it's going to beat out GTA4 right now though. The gaming media is having a collective circle jerk over the game right now.
I know it's just a forum post but, I would say that's a rather good source.
BTW ... I don't care if it was the same level. In fact, I hope it is the same level. I don't want to have anything else spoiled for me. All I want to see is progress. The devs talked about lack of textures and such last year, I would like to see some of those things be implemented.
