I'm happy with what I have. That doesn't mean Sony shouldn't deliver on what was shown to us before the console released.
supposed to be there at launch. Sony was doing demo's of these features before launch. This stuff was expected and it was expected for a good reason. Every launch PS3 owner knows this. It is better late then never, but it's even better when expected.
He said "if"
as in ... "what if I have 4 games I'm playing online"
so you might not know that you can delete old game data without affecting your game saves. Then again ... I'm probably just giving you the benefit of the doubt.
I read a comment from you a while ago about how MGS4 better be good or you'll destroy your PS3. I wonder why you would do that when most gamers would consider your position to be somewhat of a luxury. Both systems are having good games come out for it this year and the next. You just can't get over your bias though can yo...
I read somewhere that they're one time installs.
@ Jenzo ... its not THAT bad. You might have to pee after watching a lengthy cutscene anyway.
a ranting fanboy trying to rub some faces int he mud. Best to ignore him or report for spam.
Steve Vai, Alexi, Satriani, ETC ETC ETC
should STFU until he actually learns how to play something a little more "rippin" on the guitar.
This isn't to say his music is bad (its not my style), but it's hardly considered technically challenging. I know about 10 guitarists who play in their rooms who can shred him to pieces.
OOO ... and its just a game douche.
of anyone intentionally spoiling the game.
=D
I'm not casual and I don't have that much space.
Why it's so large? Sounds like a shortcut to me. Who knows though.
but I'm not really all that concerned. You can delete install date without affecting game saves. Just reinstall later. It's a pain, but whatever. I'm thinking of getting and external HDD for my PS3 anyway.
That works both ways. I think KZ2 is a lesser known game for the less hardcore user. RFOM could potentially suck sales off of KZ2 a well. It just doesn't make sense two release to high-profile shooters so close.
I'm pretty sure I don't use more then 40, but I know I spend more then 5 gigs. I download enough demo's and trailers and play enough online gaming to chew right through that.
I have a bad feeling this will catch on though. I only hope it doesn't catch on across all ISP's though.
what's your internet usage like? Do you game a lot? How often? Do you download demo's, and movies? ETC ETC.
I don't know how much online gaming uses, but I assume it isn't cheap. I would find another ISP then in this instance.
I still don't see this is failing though. I don't remember where I read this, but a minority of the internet users actually account for the majority of the bandwidth used. I really don't see this as pissing off too many people. Infact, some of the email and browsing only users might even be happy?
Is there a way to find out how much bandwidth a home...
I'm guessing your average internet user doesn't come close to 40 gigs of bandwidth usage for the cap. Most people probably won't even notice a difference in their plan.
If companies are implementing this to prevent pirating of movies and HD material, then the people they upset will be people that don't really care about upsetting. Those people will have to pay more a month or pay more per GIG. Sort of like a way for the industry to re-coup any losses on pirated material.
...
better hope to god this doesn't become standard. Even though I don't download HD movies, I still download a lot of music and game demo's and trailers and such. 40G could be enough for me. As long as online gaming doesn't chew up too much bandwidth either.
Which might be part of the problem. As the first poster said, this might be more then just MS and Sony not getting along. The fact that one population of gamers is paying to play the game might not go so well for MS. Word of mouth tends to sway peoples decisions.
still ... I would welcome cross platform play.
then you should read this,

In minutes does not translate to millions of people. I mean I'm glad an all ... but gees ... exaggerate much?
