The PS3 was better in terms of texture resolution, item rendering, and lighting. You notice that on the 360 screens the textures are kinda muddy and less clear. The PS3 has a higher rez texture and you notice the clarity.
In certain screens you notice that there are objects on the screen that have more detail in the PS3 version such as the plants having higher detail and more leaves where the 360 will have slightly less detailed objects with fewer polygons.

You would be surprised how smooth uncharted was with the touchscreen. If I had to define it, it would be "semicore". It's a hardcore game experience with intuitive casual controls. I think that uncharted on vita will possibly be the very best casual game and core game. The paint a climb feature alone allows a core game with incredible production value to be accessible to any casual. It is really like nothing else. I got to demo the game at E3 and both core and touch controls w...
I agree somewhat but I think Sony just needs to work on their strong points for the next system.
They need to pack relevant and future proof features. They need to get third party support ramped up and on lock for the release. They need to innovate in network services.
I feel that if sony were to release at the same time as the next xbox, they will be in the strongest position next gen.
This article is beyond dumb. There is a big difference between dropping the price based on supply and demand and based on production costs.
Computers used to be $500 at the most affordable price.
Now they are 250. Does that mean that computers are becoming desperate for sales? No. It's a sign of production becoming more affordable. It's evolution.
.
The HP touchpad used to be $500 at few months back. Now it's $100 on clearance. That's...
@Rush
I have to disagree.
Compared to how previous platforms were and the rate at which games were announced before the initial release there is an big contrast to when the PSP, DS, and 3DS were launched. There are more games being unveiled at an incredible rate (and well known games that are proven to deliver) compared to previous platforms.
I think he has every right to be hyped. I was an original PSP owner and I really got burned on that ...
Meh. I make it into a game for myself. See how many people can kill me repeatedly before my team starts bitching about how useless of a player I am.
If you don't like Halo, don't buy it. I don't like Halo but I understand people like different things than I do. I see no reason to discount something if someone else likes it.
So I assume they are beta testing the DLC on 360...
There also seems to be an endless amount of new software announcements. I like how more and more software is announced for the vita practically every week.
That screen keyboard in the browser looks strikingly similar to the android keyboard. Might be a custom build of the android browser.
I know sony already has licensing agreements with Google for android so it would not be to far fetched for Sony to use a working piece of software and then modify it to their liking much like the android handset manufacturers.
And if I am right it means it will support both flash and html 5.
Honestly, Im not that disappointed by that.
The psp 3000 and psp-go still use wifi-b. Which doesn't have the speed nor the distance of wifi-g.
Wifi-b is only 11mbps while wifi-g has 54mbps. It was a pain to play online with the PSP or download anything because it took forever at 11mbps maximum (if you could get that much speed...).
It makes perfect sense because streaming anything was a pain, downloading anything was a pain, and the web b...
Perfectly summed it up.
Smart mobile devices are not a replacement for dedicated devices (yet). My android phone will never do adobe elements or create an intricate flash (or html5) webpage but my desktop computer will.
Dedicated devices serve a specific purpose that they greatly excel in.
Smart devices are considered a "jack-of-all-trades" device but I also consider them "a master of none".
Granted I wou...
Don't forget the creative zen mp3 players (good times). But yes sony does need to substantially improve their marketing.
They have come a very long way from the PSP launch (cheese you can hear?!!) and I think they understand that as well. They have a blog, community updates, numerous pr events, and public events. They are definitely more engaged with their consumers and more actively getting their products out into the public's view. But they really need to widen thei...
I disagree with that assertion that an apple device is better because its an apple.
Apple is better because of its simplicity and unified service resonates well with it consumers and as been consistent in delivery.
Sony Ericsson was directionless from its inception. There is no contest between the service and devices Apple offered compared to SE.
But SCE and SNE definitely has what it takes to create a good value on features, content, and s...
Plenty of everyday Joe and Janes pay $500 for an ipad. I can't see how this is different. I mean the ipad is a joke to people who are more familiar with tech, same goes for windows phone and android tablets.
If people are willing to buy those because of their feature set and service offered, I think Vita stands at a better value in comparison.
3DS did poorly not because of the price alone, but because its features, service, and content did not hold water...
I don't think sony should focus on the price at this point in time. There will be enough months to observe the market reaction to the 3DS price drop to choose whether or not to do so.
And I also think Sony should't drop the price of the Vita either. The 3DS was a horrible value to everyone compared to a PSP with its back catalog of games and budget gaming entry. The 3DS released with no in demand features, lackluster game selection, and little support in online and fe...
Uh even the vita is a better value than an Ipad for gaming. $500 for a tablet with horrible controls vs. a $250 dollar device dedicated to proper gaming and casual touch gaming, its kinda a no-brainer (unless you are brainless).
You know, when I was growing up and I had my first game system there wasn't "This game got rave reviews" or "Its just a movie tie in to get some quick cash". My parents bought plenty of duds and bought some outright gems.
I wish we "gamers" would stop telling people what to buy and play. We should accept that people learn their own tastes by experience. Not by some snot behind the store counter or some pompous prick telling everyone what they...
I am glad aswell. I am happy to see that they are supporting their new game. Hopefully they get all the issues worked out because I am really enjoying the game.
