Something I just noticed about this tech demo, its in a very small environment. Look. Its about the size of an average living room. I know the PS3 has great processing power but I would like to see a similar tech demo in a larger environment. This kind of has me worried about the lack of ram. Sure it looks fantastic but at what cost to actual game design?
I used to do that when I was a kid, except it wasn't birds, it was pens and paper. Hell we even made Styrofoam cup forts with tmnt figures on top and used rubber bands just like in angry birds. But there's reasons why I don't do that anymore.

If there is anything the doom crowd cannot say, its that vita doesn't have a great supply of games in the pipeline. Everytime I hear about a new vita game or an announcement, I am "WTF, ANOTHER?!! This thing JUST came out", "I am going to have to open up a loan just to make sure I DON'T miss anything".

Honestly, this sounds like a problem that will happen with the android market and apple app store. There is an increasing amount of saturation going on there and numerous big name publishers are now jumping to those platforms while everyone and their celebrity youtube cat is as well.
There is also no actual quality control on those platforms either (more than 1,000 fart apps?) and this sounds like the dot com crash just waiting to happen.

Two years ago no one was complaining about Microsoft charging a lower price for their worthless entry model Xbox 360 but overpriced HDDs but as soon as sony does something similar with a far better value everyone jumps on them.

The key to success and the key to bolster the game library is to embrace indie. Indie is where true creativity and the core audience see eye to eye and I love what valve has done for the scene. I think that if sony can take a page from valve and truly embrace indie like valve (not the horrible mutation that is xbox live indie) then they can gain a lot more momentum.
Not everyone can afford a gaming computer but I am sure everyone who considers themselves a gamer can invest in...
