I was wondering how I would play Mass Effect and Forza and Call of Juarez (if it makes its date) and Dirt and Hour of Victory (if it makes its date) and Overlord and Two Worlds and The Darkness.....maybe even Tenchu Z (if the gameplay is good).
And again if it means they are not rushing the game, so much the better.
MS just patented something that some people claim Sony is already doing but don’t have a patent for.
So I guess now MS can sue Sony for patent infringement unless they cease and desist. :p
All those games except GTA are on my list to get for sure and I am heavely leaning to trying GTA for the first time with this new game. In addition there are many games that are NOT on this list which I am eagerly awaiting such as Overloard, Two Worlds, Brothers in Arms, Medal of Honor etc.
This will indeed be an amazing year for Next Gen Gaming.
With all the games that were set to come out this year that I want, I have been watching the release dates closely and I can see them slipping. I alos see a lot of games set to release in a few weeks that have little or no information and can assume those will slip.
I did find it interesting that he listed HALO3 among the ones he think will slip. There is so much information out about that game that I would assume it is nearly done. Assuming the public beta goes well I would...

I do like the motion capture they did. I dont think they did that with oblivion. I do like the ability to duel weild too...hopefully thats not just NPCs that can do that.
Would rather see video of actual gameplay then of the replay. Replays always look nice. I want to see what it really looks like when you are deep in a race. The different views you have while racing. Like some of the Dirt videos.
so you are always going to get the comparisons but man when that vid first started, especially with image of the guy standing on a doc, did I get major Oblivion flashbacks. Like this was a mod and they just lifted the entire game right out of Bethesdas computers. Later in the vid some of the cooler monsters reminded me this is something that claims to be "better" then oblivion. I also liked the moonlit horse ride on the beach, that looked nice.

They are announcing COD4 is coming out next saturday? Or they are announcing "yes we are making COD4...coming 2008-2009, more details soon"? If #2 then whats the big deal, dont we already know that?
Nothing in that video made me kick it off my "possibly" list. It looks like your basic cliché ninja vs. corrupt samurai game. I like ninjas and cheesy kungfu movies well enough. The game never was on my "must have" list.
If the game play is fun it may be worth a pickup especially a few months after release when the price drops. But I don’t know much about this game or if it is fun so I will have to wait for some reviews.

Both companies are apparently losing money. With MS its a financial analyst saying its a failure for Sony they are just laying off a bunch of people. This makes me sad and afraid. I do NOT want one console. Competition makes things better, one console means they can charge more and do less.
Which company is in better position to survive the current environment? Whos shareholders will bail on them first? I hope they both make it.

Yep, looks like the demo will make or break this game. Hope they are putting their best foot forward. I would like to like this game, but we will see.
The combat is not done with buttons but with the right analogue stick. And from what I understand if you want to continue the same attack you just hold the stick in place so no need to be "slashing" with it or mashing any buttons. But no doubt there will be lots and lots of fighting in the game. The developers keep comparing it to diablo. Diablo was by no means a deep RPG but it was one heck of a fun game. If this game can be as fun as that then I will be quite happy.
I have wanted this game since I first heard of it. I was a little underwhelmed by that video. Not sure what I was expecting but that snippet wasnt it. On the other hand, thats JUST a snippet and hopefully there is a lot more to this game then that. I am still looking to get this.

I have little itnerest in motion control except for specific games. Burnout would not be one of those specific games.
As long as the game plays and looks good on the 360 I am happy. It doesnt bother one bit that also plays and looks good on the PS3. Some day I may own one of those.
I have only had one two. Just like I have only had one Sony SXRD. Both have people that say they will die but both devices keep working fine.
