Well Starbreez does have their own engine that they use. I assume they think its next gen enough for The Darkness. So the question is how much did they need to do to the old Riddick code to use the Next Gen-ness of their custom engine?
I would say they are not totally remaking the game as they likely wont redo all the code in the game but I dont think its a simple "port" either. If that makes any sense.

Yes this trailer has been out for a few weeks. It increased the interest I have in this game. I also have a friend who is VERY picky about the type of console games he likes. Non team based WWII FPS games is one of them so I have been trying to keep him informed of all the information on this game. We are both quite psyched about it.

We got a great game to play for several months and can keep playing as they release cool new content AND we get to play the Halo 3 beta withough having to sign up for anything.
Crackdown people could play the beta the same day the beta was released just a few hours later but because of the few hour delay they added 4 days for everyone. Sounds like the us crackdown people were responsible for giving all the halo lovers an extra 4 days to play their beta. :p

GTA guys didnt say anything about HD-DVD restricting them it is the regular DVD player in the Xbox that restricts them. HD-DVD is an add on and not the component used to play the game.
I think MS is firmly behind digital distribution. But like any commpany they will make whatever add-ons make them money. Making this type of statement will only hurt him in the long run if they do decide that their customers want the blue ray format. I mean it would be expected the PC version would look better then the 360 version. So why would you have to create crp 360 version pics to compare and then somehow classify it as "amazing"? Take a real HD comparison the PC version will still look better (it better, at least) and there still will be nothing amazing about it.
Not that I am complaining too much as I would love a next gen version but I would a new game based on this series.
You can't modify your car or bicycle however you want and still drive it on the street. You still have to meet certain standards with it or you get ticketed and it gets impounded (more with car then bike). Also in most towns and cities you cannot just modify your house how you like either. There are zoning regulations and licenses that need to be bought and if you have a homeowners association in the neighborhood they can veto any changes you want to make.
