I keep forgetting about this game because of all the other games coming out. So if its not coming out early it would be better to come out next year so as not to get overlooked. Ironic since it was the first ever shown next gen game. But that was a long long time ago and in a differernt AU for the game itself.
Be hard to believe if they dont make up some of the money they lost with GTA and Bioshock alone. I think The Darkness will also rock.
Wow when did this become multiplatform? I thought it was PS3 only but end of trailer does show multiple consoles.
Bummer and after the good news of last week. I didnt even know Overlord was going to have a demo and BOOM it was there. The Darkness I was expecting a demo and now I may not get one until after release. Boo.
Is that track with the Ferris wheel supposed to be the same one in forza? I know it’s a real world track since if you watch the credits from Forza it shows people standing on it so I am wondering if this is Dirt's depiction of it.
Also the demo was missing the direcions guy.
Weather and field are unimpressive. The sidelines do look more livel (nice fan to keep the players cool). I admit I like the possibilities of the freaky over the top stadiums. I hope you can sort of design your own. Good to see officials on the field but the linemen look a little light. Whereas Madden everyone is huge in this game some look a bit small but all still look similar. Would it be that hard to have multiple body types in a game?
The controls do take some getting used to especially if you are used to basic FPS controls. Its nice that they do give you full control over the camera you just have to remember to hit the left bumper. I wonder if it would have been better to have full control of the camera with Just the right thumbstick and then hit the Left bumper and use the right thumbstick for control of the minions? But I guess you will end up wanting to control the minions more then the camera. Not sure if you will...
Never been a fan of the "painted" field. It would be nice to finally get a since that the field is grass or mud or turf. Yeah and I want fluffy snow too, like Lost Planet except in a football game. I want rain and mud. I want real football in real football weather.
Oh and I am over the helmutless look. Cool you got nice face models but I aint going to be looking at that anyway. Put the helmut on and give us some gameplay footage in weather.

Fugly cover. I hope that effort is not representative of the actual game. 2k's last effort had me thinking they could dethrone EA until EA got the exclusive contract. I was very stoked about a new 2k game but the cover art mutes my interest somewhat especially with the release being pushed up to come out the same time as NCAA08.
The game is supposed to be released today as far as I know.

I would have preferred to see their original concept created as it looked kinda on the unique side. There are not enough scifi games that actually take place in space at this time. This looks like another zombie\mutated human game. Seems like we have an overload of these on every console. Still though I like the throwing weapon idea and the game looks nice. It is currently on the buy list but it wouldnt take much to bump it to filler or off the list altogether.
I have been waiting for this game ever since I first heard about it. It doesnt look like it will disappoint.
It was but they took it down. The reasons they did so have been speculated on. I and others had trouble downloading it so I suspect that was the reason it was removed. Others think it was removed due to poor reception by gamers. Also, you probably have to have a gold account to get it right now, so if you dont see it that could be why. I havent checked today to see if it is back up or not.

Mad Tracks or WarTech: Senko no Ronde I suppose one of those is the third one. Next week is Call of Juarez then a couple of potential filler games with Tenchu Z and Fantastic 4. Then Dirt. Then The Darkness and Overlord with Transformers being a potential filler.
Mid July football season starts with NCAA and All Pro 2k. That should get us up to early August and Too Human and Stranglehold. :)
Weill I went to bed with it downloading and it did finally complete. I played it this morning. It was meh. Not the worst game I ever played but not up to the hights of COD2 either. I had better impressions of the Blacksite demo when I completed it but I this demo didnt cause me to write this game off altogether either. May have moved it to my "get it cheap" list though.
