Ah good, another apologist article. All of the manufacturers should have at least an emulation program for their new consoles. I keep all my old ones anyway, but the feature has been nice in the past when I got a new title for the older console and discovered the older machine needed a repair.
I don't know if they have the manufacturing capabilities for such a huge number, but I sure hope this is true. It'd be nice to be able to keep away eBay scalpers during the holidays.
Given this happens with virtually every major release,, does anyone even care about Metacritic user scores anymore? It's like going to a KKK rally and asking their opinion on the new Lil Wayne album.
We like Battletoads because it's hard, fun, and classic. It's like the Ron Jeremy of games.
I'd love Dragon Quest VII to come over here (it was excellent on the PS1)... DQX though... eh.
It'd be great to see a GT in the launch window, but given how long 4 and 5 took to make, I don't know if it's possible. I can't imagine how good it'll look, though... Not to mention the physics should be even more fine-tuned than ever.
If there has ever been a system that needs BC, it's the next Xbox. After the unreliabiity of the 360, there needs to be a way to play its games after the systems inevitably break.
Frankly I wish all the disc systems had full BC because of their mechanical nature; all of my cartridge systems still work, but most of my disc systems have had replacements.
Bring. Back. AKI.
I dunno, I've been gaming for more than 25 years and the 16-bit wars were pretty fierce... though I was about 10 at the time...
If I ever had to use the word "subpar" in a review, I don't think I could give it a 9 or higher.
Any fanboy will, and then they'll justify it like a beaten spouse.
Actually there have been quite a few times where I checked Amazon's price vs. the Steam price (even during a great Steam sale) and it was cheaper on Amazon. Usually Steam has it cheaper, but Amazon gets some amazing deals too.
It'd be awesome, but I read a story a few years back (I think it was 1up) where they said Sega lost the source code for the game.
I have a copy of it and it's an amazing RPG with a great soundtrack.
This was linked the other day. http://n4g.com/news/1163257...
I loved the Burnout series, but I wasn't a huge fan of Paradise; the open world style had its drawbacks, even if the racing was still great.
I'd love to see a new entry in the series, though. I'd love some new places to wreak havoc on traffic.
The Epic Mickey games could have been classic if not for the camera and in the case of Epic Mickey 2, poor helper AI. Still, I hope all of them land on their feet.
Rest in peace, sir. The soundtrack to Heavy Rain was amazing and added so much to an excellent game.
They made some really great games over the years, and especially during this generation, but they were, unfortunately, mismanaged and put too many eggs in the casual basket... heck, even made a casual basket to put the casuals into.
Regardless, the franchises will live on (someone will pick up Darksiders eventually) and hopefully continue to entertain.
Leland Yee is a stupid piece of shit who needs to stop his anti-game crusade. You lost, go hang out with Jackoff Thompson.
I would sacrifice extra money for it. The system is going to be pricey no matter what; it has amazing tech, so I don't think it will come cheap. Adding $50 to a system when someone is already prepared to shell out $450-500+ dollars isn't a huge difference.
Now if it was $100 to the price, that'd be different, though I think they would add a bigger hard drive to make it feel like a better value for the price.
