Unless they really revamp Origin or put more of their stuff on Steam again, they're going to have a hard time doing it.
It depends on the CE, but outside of Steam, I always will buy the CE of a game over the vanilla copy. I'm a collector, never sell my games, so it's worth the extra money to me if they have fun extras.
Bald Bull is Turkish, not black.
I loved the GBA SP redesign, and then the brighter screen version of it. I still use it to play all my original Game Boy games all the way through the GBA.
To fill the Lt. Billy-sized hole in my war-torn soul.
Ethics lesson: you have to incinerate your faithful Companion Cube to go home for the day. What do you do?
NES cart says "blow me", I say "ok", and neither of us feels dirty.
Given the state of unease about the economy, I'm not surprised people are holding back. I spend a lot on games every year and even I'm being more prudent with my purchases.
I also wonder if these poor numbers are like the old Burger King/McDonald's economic idea, where when one fast food place opens next to another, both stores end up with higher sales. With so few other titles released, then the primary question isn't "do I want Max Payne 3 or do I want...
This was easily their best bundle so far, and like lastdual, I owned a couple of the titles but still took the plunge for the others and the soundtracks. Amazing bargain for the games, and the money going to charity is always an incentive to give a little more.
Holy boobs, Batman!
"Let’s have a Zelda game where it opens with a 40 year old Link in a bar drinking his sorrows away after he just stabbed a guy in the throat. As there has been peace for so long he has now become a forgotten hero. Zelda and his son has left him long ago and he is now working as a mercenary for higher."
No. Just no.
You can only get so many requests or see your aunt's wall covered in posts about their terrible games before you block all of the apps. Not to mention Zynga's horrible privacy policies and their willingness to sell your info...
Oh yeah, and the crappy games themselves.
I'm sure they'll just keep sending people invites to buy their shares until the other investors unfriend them.
For me it's the fact that the Spec Ops name is on it, and that series (even if it's not the same as it once was) was horrible.
I'll give the demo a shot, but it sounds like that's not very good either. Maybe the full game will end up great... but I'll be waiting for a few price drops.
*runs in and pre-emptively hits GreenRanger with a chair*
I'm excited about this game... fella.
I completely agree with NYC_Gamer and Godmars290. The problems I've had with Origin make me less likely to buy EA games for my PC, much less buy them through Origin itself.
There's a reason Steam is used by so many, and while the awesome deals are part of it, it's because the service actually works.
"A Link to the Past does very little in terms of handholding"
Oh crap, a game that makes you actually figure things out rather than get a brightly marked path or a guy with "follow" above his head.
Sony, this is even more reason to get those PS1 classics on Vita quickly. I want to play through Tomba! on the go.
Igniz from The King of Fighters 2001 should be on there.
