I forgot all about that even though it's hooked up to my PS3 right now. My PS3 came with a 6ft-8ft ethernet cable.
It clearly still has the Ethernet port as we've seen multiple pictures of the slim all over this site which show it.

Agreed, with all those people that were simply waiting because they repeatedly heard there'd be a price cut soon, the people who were already going to buy it, the people attracted the the slim PS3s new feature or appearance, and all the people who simply want a gaming system and see that the PS3 is the best value when they're at the store comparing.
I laugh at the thought of them only increasing sales by %60 in September. That's no more than an anticipated title would induce...
Considering the majority of people who subscribe to GameInformer or are part of their online community are "Gamers" as apposed to "casual gamers" it would seem that this new number SHOULD be used here as the majority of us game beyond what is considered casually. Simply put - WE ARE PART OF THAT MINORITY.

I actually skipped this price earlier this year when CircuitCity was going out of business. $219 actually. So I really don't see myself "Jumping In" now when I didn't then.
These guys really go above and beyond. Do they make any other games or is GT their one and only series and genre? I'd like to see their perfectionism used in other genres as well but I guess the GT series pays so well they don't need to make others and with their dedication and time spent on making the games they don't really have time or resources for other products.

I liked the last comment, he sums up the UC2 beta pretty nicely. Covering, blind shooting, climbing, punching, kicking, pulling off ledges, weighted "flag" that can be thrown, ect. I can't wait for the full game.
Is importing completely out of the question? like is there a law against buying an imported PS3 for a somewhat lower price? As is mentioned quite often PS3 games are region free.
The new Slim and Go! boxes look great, they actually look like a presents. The color strip is the ribbon and the device (PS3/Psp) is the bow on the ribbon. Cleverly attractive looking.
But that term and object is archaic so it's being used in a sarcastic way.
What you don't realize, are ignoring or simply forgetting (apparently) is that there are SD cards that hold more than 50Gbs and games could be run off of them as long as the games files are separated to make the Fat32 File system happy. IE 4Gb chunk limit. I'd be no different to what the PspGo! is doing now except the memory cards would be permanently locked so you couldn't erase the game on it.

Edit: Oh there's a glitch in the actual game itself that's allowing this, I thought it was a glitch in Live.

The PS3 plays a ton of video formats already, MKV is one of the few exclusions. With a PC I could point you to MKVtoVob for direct playback conversions and "the java PS3 media server". One of these two does work with macs but i don't remember which.

One major thing that people tend to forget when reading those articles that downplay or bash the PS3 is that a lot of those U.S. loyal companies are looking out for our economy. The 360 is favored to them simply because it's American and nothing will change them because of that. They want the American console to succeed more because it means more money in our country. I doubt that they are all simply fanboys, owned by M$ or are being paid off by M$.

MGS 4 only required you to install information to the hard drive 1 time, not install the game "5 times on each playthrough".
Heavenly Sword being a "short game" doesn't change the fact that it had "4,500 lines ...
30fps lockin is great and all but I thought the gripe with this game was texture pop-in, did they fix that? I guess this was a small problem too and they said a long time ago now that the elevator loading screens are gone. It's good to see improvements being made based on actual feed back.
I don't understand why this game is exclusive, is it their choice to keep it that way or was a deal made for exclusivity? I simply want some clarification. It doesn't look like the type of game...
