M$ really did blow their load at E3, premature, just like the launch of their console.

PD put so much into their games it's like a crime that we get them for the same price as other games. They really go above and beyond.
I don't believe they will make external hardware revisions. This new model might have a new chipset (though i think they're content with the current one) but I highly doubt that they spend money developing a new external look.

It sucks that surprises are leaked so bad from within sony. I read the news and any rumors too and i like knowing the stuff earlier, i just feel bad for them as their trying to surprise and wow us consumers but get a lot of their surprises spoiled. Imagine how wowed we would've been at E3 if not for leaks.

That $199 360 didn't hurt the wii AT ALL. It didn't even make anyone toss a second opinion out. The wii truly is in a different market and someone wanting Nintendo games are just going to settle for different games because of a $50 difference.

The 360 reportedly only sold 190k more systems than the PS3 so far this year, any closing in their price difference will have a huge impact when you consider that. More people want PS3s, they settle for 360s as the perceived (fooled I'll bet) "value purchase" and now they don't have to.

But, in contrast to what you're thinking, I think it's completely within the realm of possibility that sony's price cut actually slows M$ sells to a crawl and catches up to their current sales number (about 30-32mil) by march 2010. Where M$ is by then depends on how much slower that is and whether banking on Natal pays off for them.

This games looks just as hectic as Super Star Dust HD too, with hordes of enemies surrounding you. It's very similar when you think about it, and im all but certain that there's co-op.

It produces less heat so it needs less vent, what's so hard to understand about that? I'm not going to claim that there's no way it'll be faulty and end up needing more vents but im sure there R&D department tested them thoroughly before manufacturing began. This isn't a rushed to market console after all, they had as much time as they needed in developing and releasing this revision.
But psp games aren't playable on the PS3 because it would hurt psp sales. I know I wouldn't buy a PspGo! if everything available on the Psp is available on the PS3.
The minis are another case though, they might be hardware specific apps like whats found on the iphone, things that only makes sense on a portable device or it small screen. 1mb games might look especially crappy, plus we probably wouldn't buy them as not seeing the value in a $1-$2 games that looks like crap on our t...
But Im not a fan of the 1Mb or less limit. How about 25Mbs?
