Do Live subscribers really have a big issue with talking to the friends they're gaming with? Isn't it a distraction to talk to people while you're playing one game and they're doing something else?
I mean I wouldn't mind the feature, I'm sure I'll use it once sony works the kinks out, but to pay for it? No, I think I'll pass.
BTW, this article has a number of lies/half-truths, it's somewhat misleading, but at the same time it doesn't really bother me as I know what I'm get...

There goes Sonys plan of using a high price portable console to recoup some losses. I know their BS answer to why it's so close to the PS3s price will be "You pay a premium for the flexibility of a portable device..." but it really makes no sense.
This game was JUST in amazon "game of the day" for only $15. When this goes retail for the PS3 in Japan it will be full price. Someone who just bought a 360 and wants the game will be getting it wth less features, yes, but with a much lower price too ($30 normal)

Anyways, Now I get why people have MLG with a halo icon. Uncharted would be cool, the game is very balanced but I don't like the new feature of auto-dropping a grenade when you die. It wasn't in the beta (you had to drop them yourself if there was no hope and you wanted to) and I'm not found of the "free kill"

Finally, this pretty much confirms it. "All 360s fail, it's just a matter of time" use to be like my slogan and this only refreshes the thought. If you're a heavy gamer (unless you really baby it) it's going to happen, period.
It's nice to know that it isn't completely their fault though (not "shoddy merchandise"), that environmental laws are partly to blame. I still think tjhe warranty should be 5 years.

The game looks gorgeous. I really don't want to wait though, seeing these shots and the summon mechanic that i hadn't seem before all makes me sad that i'll have to wait so long to play this game.
I was always interested in loading linux onto my PS3 specifically for that but it seemed like too much of a hassle and then MKVtoVOB became super fast and user friendly so I forgot all about it. My pc is too underpowered to play HD MKVs so i use the PS3.
If they did, a windows based OS would be here sooner than later.

i think something like that was attempted long ago with linux as a port the some windows OS (millennium/2000) but it ran dirt slow. Though I might be confusing that with the psp...
When the PS2 emulator comes out for the 360 that's when I'll get one. With the 360s upscaler the games will look better than they do on my B/C PS3

This sounds great, the game was falling off my radar till I watched the 2 new trailers on the PS store and now this short description of what else has been added. They've really upgraded this game in all aspects, I hope I have enough time to fully explore it.
Yeah, obviously the price for what you get is added into an overall score, that's why some games (retail games) are labeled as "a rent". Price is always factored no matter what is written and the only reason to argue against them giving this game a ten would be if, like The Meerkat above, you feel another game at the same price range was better and that game got a lower score.
Some big publishers just don't trust that games made with american gamers in mind will sell well in Japan so other publishers will take the risk as they have more faith in the success of the titles overseas.
I hope they go on to create other super hero games and don't just stick with a B AA sequel. I'd really like to see proper Justice League, Superman and Green Lantern games. Since we're talkin DC anyways.

Good deal, if you want the other OS option it's in this one with a larger HDD to boot and Uncharted is great preparation for Uncharted 2.
