Well it says he was thinking about PS4 in 2007, which was about a year after PS3 was released. Soon as 2014 and he'll be 'thinking' about PS5.
So does this mean he's already designing the PS5?
Well, at least Bioshock Infinite's changes didn't turn out as bad as Aliens Colonial Marines did relative to its early gameplay demo.
It's probably nothing shy of a miracle that it turned out at great as it did given how impossibly hard video game creation is, especially when you have such a strong, intricate narrative to support.
I'd say that aside from the drop in frame rate in the PS4 version, which can probably be attributed to the short amount of time for optimization they likely had to work with, the PC vs. Console bridge has been bridged to levels not worth arguing about...for now.
Very similar to last gen with early games like Call of Duty 2 PC vs Console where higher resolution and frame rates were the only differences worth talking about.
That YouTube multiplier is nifty! To think I thought I was clever by using my multiple monitor setup by playing separate videos on new windows for each monitor to compare.
Thanks a ton for sharing that higher quality .MOV clip! Looks far better than YouTube!
Do you happen to have a download link for the new Infiltrator demo? Or any other demos/videos for that matter?
Call of Duty 2*
Kojima you sly devil, you.
The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty was on par with the PC version and those were very nice visuals back then. Really the only difference was with PC you could run higher resolution & framerate than 360.
This makes me feel all mooshy & fire-y inside.
As long as my computer can run it looking like the 17 minute footage, I'll be happy. If I feel like getting emotional & philosophical through brilliant storytelling & impeccable pacing, there's Bioshock One & Infinite; sorry Bioshock 2.
Off the top of my head:
•Built in voice communication for PC
•Sprint while in crouch.
•Dramatically improve matchmaking and server browsing
•Ability to more intuitively view assignment/unlock details anywhere & anytime you like.
•Via a menu setting or hot key, make it optionally easier to find your real life friends or squad mates in-game by adding their location/direction as a hud element to become more aware of where they are relative to ...
"What's it like playing an angry white man?"
I believe it and I'm glad they're not shouting any Crytek nonsense like, "THE best looking game ever for the next 2 years!"
I have a good feeling about this coming gen. Hopefully it surpasses the N64 - PS1 days. That was a great generation.
Coding to the metal is huge advantage. All you have to do is look at The Last of Us to see why. Best looking PC games such as Crysis 1 or Crysis 3 don't and didn't even run on any single GPU maxed out with 4xMSAA at 60 fps and good resolution. I own a very formidable PC to judge by, too.
No we know that next gen Naughty Dog is going to create actual new life.
'No gods or kings. Only Naughty Dog.'
haha, alright Stranger.
I can't say I've been anywhere too far from home, and I haven't ever met no god among men. But all these legends I keep hearing about, I plan to bury a few.
"Legends burn out faster than a beeswax candle."
lol, who's to be held responsible for writing that?
Yeah I know. He's just expressing how passionate he is. To be so lucky, huh?
